and Forest Lake’s Howie Johnson being perfect examples, but Miles has somehow bested those aforementioned studs’ shot put and discus PRs this outdoor season as a young sophomore!
Coming in at a reported 6’4, 250+, Miles has produced a shocking 60’5.25″ shot put on April 28th at the Alexandria Relays for a school record, which is linked below. He then followed it up with a 185’0″ discus on May 12th at the B Lohrman Invite, making them the top throws in their event in Minnesota this spring (I believe). The power, balance, flexibility, and explosiveness involved in high level track and field throws strongly correlates to college football success, so Midwest, nay, national OL/DL collegiate coaches should be reaching out to this young man, especially with the Land of 10K Lakes’ tradition of front-seven products.
Miles, who primarily plays 3T for the 5A heavyweight Cardinals, posted 38 tackles, 6 TFLs, 1 sack in 2025 for 9-2 Alexandria in 2025, and the 250+ lber. looks bendy and flexible at his size and fires out of his stance with solid pad level for his height, without playing too high. Miles can impressively drop his hips and maintain his balance through contact, and his strong, active hands make it difficult for OL to get hands on and get control. Miles displays a great base through contact and can hold a gap through an attempted double team impressively, and he can unlock hips and win 1v1 pass rushes in a variety of ways. The Alexandria product cuts tight off OL’s backside, demonstrates a good motor and showed he can pursue and chase down ball carriers all around the box and to the sideline when necessary, and suffocates RBs and QBs at the contact point. Not a lot of wasted overall movement in the big man, both in his footwork and hand usage, and Miles shows some pass-rushing juice and can generate pressure from the interior of the defensive line. I’ll be interested to see if Alex plans on playing Miles on the OL at all this year, as well as which side of the LOS colleges see Miles playing on in a few years. Tons to get excited about here, folks!

Earning valuable playing time during his sophomore season, Adrian Miles Adrian Miles 6'4" | 250 lbs | DL/OL Alexandria | 2028 State MN has already shown he can hold his own extremely well, well enough to earn him the #1 ranking among the upcoming junior class in MN. Miles’ production came mostly on the defensive side of the ball, though with the level of tenacity and physicality that he brings at DT, I wouldn’t be surprised if Miles also gets an opportunity for reps on the O-line that could further boost his stock. Showing great balance, quick footwork, and strength at the point of attack, Miles has a real shot of becoming a two-way lineman entering his junior year, possibly one of the best in the state for that matter.
