It took a handful of games for Holy Spirit’s Abdul-Azeem Carrington Abdul-Azeem Carrington 6'1" | 201 lbs | ATH Holy Spirit | 2030 NJ to geet used to the speed of varsity, but once he did, oh baby did the game slow down for him. Through his first 5 career games, Carrington had just 242 yards; however, things changed last week. Against a team in Pleasantville, who has tons of experienced, top-end talent, Carrington had his breakthrough game. In a 27-22 victory on the road, Carrington nearly doubled his season’s worth of production in that one game, rushing for 216 yards and 2 scores on 26 carries. To put it in perspective, on the season Carrington now has 84 carries for 458 yards and 5 touchdowns. Meanwhile, Carrington is a key component on defense for Holy Spirit with his 27 tackles (23 solo, 4 for loss) and forced fumble.

Listed at 6’1″ and 201 pounds Carrington is one of the biggest incoming freshman Running Backs I have covered in recent years. One of the best athletes off a deep Galloway team last year, and an All-Star basketball player, Carrington is being listed as an ATH because of his size. If he’s this big already, will he eventually outgrow the position? In a recent scrimmage he rumbled his way for a trio of touchdowns and countless big runs. Time will tell here.
