Hoffman showed off his talent on the state’s biggest stage rushing for over 200 yards and four scores and is deserving of some D2 offers. He’s pretty quiet on Twitter so it’s hard to say how much he’s being recruited but Hoffman has the athleticism to play at that level. He would benefit from some added weight to his 5’10 frame but Hoffman has serious speed and ran by some very good athletes during the season and in the state championship game. He’s also a high-quality student posting a 4.0 GPA and is by all accounts a high-character kid. Hoffman isn’t really a twitchy running back but if he gets to the corner or a crease he’s not being caught very often. You can tell any time he touches the ball that he has the end zone in his sight and he’s certainly a threat to do just that on every carry.

Another Huskie that has been crucial to their success this season is senior running back Aaron Hoffman Aaron Hoffman 5'10" | 165 lbs | RB North Marion | 2024 State WV who has now rushed for over 1,500 yards and 13 touchdowns this season. Hoffman has been steady for North Marion in the playoffs totaling 258 yards and three touchdowns. The 5’10 165 senior can get to the edge and streak down the sideline at any given moment to break the game wide open. Hoffman had a big game against Fairmont Senior in the first matchup rushing for 127 yards and a touchdown on 14 carries. I’d expect him to bust a couple of long ones for big gains in the rematch and be one of many standout performers in this one.

North Marion’s Aaron Hoffman Aaron Hoffman 5'10" | 165 lbs | RB North Marion | 2024 State WV will be near the top of our rankings for running backs when we next update them. The 5’10 165 rising senior had a great camp at the Coalfields & Co Showcase and put up some very good numbers in the testing drills. Hoffman was the top running back in the shuttle finishing with a time of 4.25 seconds which tied for third-best overall regardless of position. He was also top 25 in the standing broad jump and third overall in the 40-yard dash with a time of 4.50 seconds. That speed and athleticism showed up on film last season. Hoffman is the kind of player that can break the game open and take it to the house on each carry. Even as a smaller running back you can run him between the tackles or get him to the edge. He’s very quick and fast and can make defenders miss at times. He’s also not afraid to lower his shoulder on a defender.
