Scheevel is a complete running back who – despite the loss, might have been the best player on the field. A great combination of footwork and power, he made two cuts on one run to pick up yards when there wasn’t much room. His explosive cut up the field picked up positive yards when there wasn’t much room. Then, he bounced off a tackle for a ten yard gain. He showed how physical of a back he is with a run up the middle for ten yards. He showed patience, picking his way for seven yards. He spent much of the game running the ball lined up in the shotgun at quarterback, but he also threw a touchdown pass out of that formation. He showed his power by running over tacklers for ten yards. Then, he should have been stopped for no gain, but he broke two tackles and bounced the run outside to pick up another first down. He showed quick feet making two cuts near the line of scrimmage, and used his speed to score a forty yard touchdown. He kept the game alive with a ten yard run on fourth and one. As a defensive back, he deflected a pass from his safety spot and deflected a second pass on a deep ball.
