Continue ReadingLandon has been on the college radar since his freshman season. He was an early bloomer with both size and arm talent. He possesses a college ready frame that’s built to take the hits a college quarterback is going to take. As a thrower, he excels in the intermediate passing game. He throws the crosser and seam balls very well. He seems to see it best and be most confident in making those throws. Landon is a passer who’s isn’t really a threat to run but can tuck it and take free yards when they are there. I’d project Landon to the D1 FCS or D2 level. All in all, O’Connell has a bevy of talent around him and I’m looking forward to a big senior season from him.
Last year as a junior, Stoddard, came in with huge shoes to fill as Mr. Football Drew Allar had departed for Penn State. All he did was put up video game numbers, throwing for 5,000+ yards and 58 TD’s. He also added nearly 700 yards on the ground with 12 TD’s. Danny is a dynamic Quarterback who possesses high level arm talent. He has a quick and fluid throwing motion that makes longer throws look easy. He can also throw from different arm slots to make plays around pressure. He’s elusive not just in the pocket, but on the run. Stoddard has quick feet and the speed to turn a crease into a big run. He’s used both in the pocket and is also rolled out to throw on the run. Danny is getting D2 and D1 FCS interest.
Highlights
In his Junior season Bullock led the Saint Ed’s Eagles to a state championship. At 6’1 200 pounds Bullock is a sturdily built dual threat quarterback. In the run game he does a strong job of executing the zone read run game. He makes quick and decisive reads. When he keeps the ball he has the athleticism to make people miss and make chunk plays. Casey is also not afraid to put his shoulder down and eaough yards when the situation calls. As a passer Casey can throw to all levels. He’s an efficient passer who has the confidence and accuracy to put the ball in smaller windows. He’s a player you can put on the field and trust to make the right play and take care of the ball. When it comes to intangibles Bullock is a leader who wills his team to wins. With a strontg senior season, Casey should get a lot of D1 FCS and D2 interest.
Maloney is a dual threat QB who’s an explosive athlete. He’s a really fun watch on film. Mikey is a player who will drive opposing defensive coordinators mad with his ability to stress defenses and with his ability to run and improvise when plays break down. He definitely has a little Johnny Football to his game. He’s one of the better throwers on the run and off platform that I’ve seen in this class. As a thrower, he has a live arm and can really let it rip when it wants to. He tends to stick to the intermediate passing game, but he has the ability to stand in the pocket and make the deep throw. Mikey executes the RPO as well as you’ll see a high school quarterback do it. I can’t wait to see what film Maloney is able to put out this fall. I think he’ll get D2 and D1 FCS interest, but don’t be surprised if the FBS G5 schools come calling.
