After showing up late due to the Virginia Tech prospect camp, Belin quickly showed that he was the top quarterback at the entire 7v7 tournament. In the semi finals and championship game, every single drive he led, ended in a touchdown. He had a boarderline perfect performance in the final 2 games against great teams within Maloney (CT) who made a state championship appearance in Connecticut and they defeated Long Island power Hills East in the title game. Rich threw bullets from inside the pocket and his deep ball accuracy was incredible. He delivered dimes to Reid Jones Reid Jones 6’2″ | 195 lbs | WR Cardinal Hayes | 2025 State NY , Cleveland Charlton Cleveland Charlton 6’5″ | 185 lbs | WR Cardinal Hayes | 2024 State NY and Eli Garcia Eli Garcia 5’10” | 150 lbs | WR Cardinal Hayes | 2024 State NY throughout those games. I was impressed with his reads and decision making against tough defenses.

At 6 foot 5, the potential for Charlton is really starting to show. He had a monster day at the Stony Brook 7v7 tournament. His catch radius and wingspan is insane and he used it to his advantage. Charlton made plays and when he high pointed the ball it was almost unfair. An underrated part of his game though is the speed Charlton has. The tall and lank receiver can flat out move. His long strides were guiding him past defenders during his deep routes and his hands were terrific. Consistency was something I kept an eye on, as just about every game Charlton was making plays, including a couple of redzone touchdowns.
It felt like every time Cardinal Hayes scored a touchdown it felt like I was tweeting out Reid Jones Reid Jones 6’2″ | 195 lbs | WR Cardinal Hayes | 2025 State NY ‘ name. The 2025 receiver ran some of the best routes at the event. At 6’2 and with his speed he was consistently making plays. His hands and ball skills were probably the best I saw throughout the day. He set the tone in an early matchup against Commack. Jones went downfield and leaped higher than two defenders to come up with an incredible touchdown catch in double coverage. His next incredible play came in the intense semi-final matchup against Maloney, Jones pulled off an incredible double move where his acceleration left his defender in the dust and he hauled in a long and important touchdown.

In pool play this Cardinal Hayes secondary was legitimately on fire. Against Amityville I counted 5 interceptions before halftime from this secondary. Rock at cornerback was one of the anchors. His footwork and lateral quickness helped him stay with some terrific receivers during the 7v7. His acceleration out of his brake stood out to me and in the championship game against Hills East, he had a key pass breakup in a crucial situation. A couple of stops from Cardinal Hayes let their offense dominate and they cruised in the title game.
One of the top safeties in all of New York. Downer has good size, speed and instincts. He was a leader for a Cardinal Hayes defense that had so much success, especially in pool play. I was impressed with how well Downer read the quarterback and how fast he was able to get to receivers. Even when the QB didn’t put a lot of air under his passes, Downer was still able to get to a side of the field and deliver excellent defense. He did a good job when he had to go against slot receivers and Downer

Another receiver for Cardinal Hayes that was just tearing it up throughout the entire 7v7 tourney. Garcia was having a field day in the slot for Cardinal Hayes. His run after catch ability was on display, as he added even more speed to an electric Cardinal Hayes receiving core. He had a good release and a great change of direction. It felt like Garcia was always in the right place and he caught just about everything in those final two games to really help Cardinal Hayes solidify their championship run
