After breaking down some more high-level quarterback prospects, it’s time to revisit the wide receiver position and evaluate another group of talented players. Without any further ado, here’s my list of some more talented wide receivers in Tennessee to watch out for this upcoming season.
At the top of my list of notable performers is Brandon Heyward Brandon Heyward 5'11" | 180 lbs | WR Oak Ridge | 2024 State TN , a 6-foot-0, 180-pound wide receiver at Oak Ridge High School. Hayward made a huge difference for the Wildcats during his junior stint of high school football last year. What stands out about Heyward is his size and overall athleticism down the stretch, showcasing excellent physiciality under pressure. Another aspect of Heyward that impresses is his ability to use bursts of speed to outplay defenders in the backfield. After showing off his skillset last year, the rising senior out of Oak Ridge, TN. is definitely worth keeping an eye on next season.

Another standout on my list is Charlie Becker Charlie Becker 6'3" | 195 lbs | WR Father Ryan | 2024 State TN , a 6-foot-3, 192-pound wide receiver at Father Ryan High School. Becker was one of the more athletic offensive weapons on the Irish’ roster during his junior season of high school football last year. The rising senior out of Nashville, TN. impressed me with his well-balanced playstyle, showcasing excellent size, speed, footwork and durability. With electric quickness off the snap and the ability to use his deceptive movement to maneuver the field, Becker consistently impressed last season and is committed to the University of Indiana.

Claiming the number three spot on my list is Kedarius Jones Kedarius Jones 6'0" | 175 lbs | WR Whitehaven | 2024 State TN , a 6-foot-0, 175-pound wide receiver at Whitehaven High School. Jones made a considerable impact on the field for the Tigers during his junior stint of high school football last year. On top of solid size, speed and toughness down the stretch, Jones impressed me with his footwork and ability to juke out the defense off the snap. Another aspect of Jones that caught my eye was his ability to position himself for deep passes and use bursts of speed to escape defensive backs. After a great season, the rising senior out of Memphis, TN. will definitely be an intriguing offensive weapon to watch this upcoming fall.

I am also impressed with Kamron Haymon Kamron Haymon 5'10" | 170 lbs | ATH Hardin Co. | 2024 State TN , a 6-foot-0, 170-pound wide receiver at Hardin County High School. Hamron was a highly explosive offensive weapon on the Tigers’ roster during his junior season of high school football last year. In addition to incredible size, speed and durability down the stretch, what stands out about Haymon is his ability to overwhelm defensive backs with his physical edge and unmatched quickness. The rising senior out of Savannah, TN. proved he was a reliable target for his quarterback and is nearly unstoppable once he picks up speed.
