Continue ReadingDilanian rose to the number 5 backer in the state. He made 1st team all-conference last season as a starter for St. Albans and racked up a total of 114 tackles. Kenny plays with intensity, aggression, and runs his feet through contact. He’s a backer that can help you shut down the run game.
Highlights
Anderson is one of the multiple rising stars o this Concordia defense. He lived in the backfield last season and brings speed to the perimeter of the defense. He’s 6’2 212lbs, clocked a 4.59 40-yard dash, and has the vertical ability to dunk a basketball. AJ is developing into a very nice prospect on paper and has the film to back it up. So far, he still only holds 1 offer from UNC-Charlotte.
Highlights
Cooley now comes in as the #10 LB in this class. He picked up where he left off from his freshmen season, where he showed glimpses. This past season he had a lot more opportunities and took full advantage of them. He’s very versatile, he can play middle linebacker in between the tackles, shows the ability to line up with his hand in the dirt along the line and does a good job of beating the offense to the perimeter to make a play on the QB rollout. He shows some athleticism carrying the ball on offense, breaking off some chunk plays that show off his strength and good top in speed, and even had a few receptions out of the backfield. After the championship season Cooley landed his first offer from UNC-Charlotte as well.
Whiteford moved from the watch list to ranked this rankings update. This past season he led his team in tackles and was second in tackles in his entire conference. Parker was a run stopper for Queen Annes and will be a weapon in the run game for the Stags, he transferred to WCAC power DeMatha this offseason.
Callaway is another transfer player who joined the rankings this offseason. He transferred from Oxon Hill to Henry A. Wise, making that talented defense even tougher. Callaway is going to bring hard hits and intensity to that defense. He tracks down the ball fast and is a lot to deal with when he needs to get off the ball quick. UNC-Charolette did their homework on this young backer too.
