2024 Friday Film Review: Hard Hitting LB’s In The Top 50

He is explosive and has good eyes, using his vision to make plays. When his number is called on blitz plays, he disguises it well, getting pressure on the QB and bringing him down. He is physical at the point of contact and can play multiple gaps, scraping overtop and not getting stuck in the wash. On short yardage plays he uses his quickness to burst through the line and stops the play before it even gets started. He has the versatility to drop back into coverage and can dislodge the ball out of receivers hands. He is great at being able to shed tackles and rally to the football or he can navigate through, using his speed to get around blockers and making plays. When playing the run he is quick to find the hole and meet the ball carrier, driving them back and not giving up ground. He sees screens quickly and can get to the intended receiver quickly, bringing them down for no gain. You constantly see him using his speed to chase the play down from behind and getting the stop in the backfield. He excels at helping stop the running game but can drop back in coverage at times as well. He has good vision being able to navigate around blocks to make a stop. He shows the ability to have a short quick burst, tracking down the ball carrier and taking away cutback lanes. Can see him hustling and taking good pursuit angles, cutting down the ball carrier for short to no gains. He has the strength and speed to come off of the edge and put pressure on the QB, even being able to hit home and bring them down. He can navigate and avoid blockers to make a play on the back, stopping them for little to no gain. He can also drop back into coverage where he shows soft hands and the ability to pick the QB. He shows good vision, being able to read and react to his keys and coming downhill with a purpose, driving back the ball carrier in the hole. He can come downhill with force, knocking players off of their feet and even dislodging them from the football. He can use his strength to take on linemen, shedding blocks and making plays in the backfield. He has the ability to put pressure on the QB and bring them down whenever he gets his hands on them. He shows the ability to drop back into coverage and has soft hands being able to come away with some great interceptions.
