About Preston
Expert Analysis
Andy Pham | Prep Redzone Scout
Preston has a great fastball, his velocity is one of the best in the state and he uses that to fit the ball into tight windows. He’s been a signal caller that has been refining his craft and he throws a good deep ball and has good mechanics. His footwork keeps improving and he’s able to get to his second reads with ease. He’s a signal caller who can make a huge jump this season with the necessary experience under his belt. There’s a lot of untapped talent there, and he is someone that can garner offers at the next level, either at D2 level or the JUCO route, where he can use that time for additional development. He’s a player that has every right to play after his HS days are over, the pure arm talent is there and everything else will come in due time.

Preston has done well with his chances this year and I’ve seen him up close against couple of times this offseason. He throws a good fastball and throws a nice deep ball. His mechanics are good and he takes well to coaching. He’s set up to take over next year, and it should be fun to watch him lead.

Ferran transfers in from Brighton, and he’ll be in contention for the starting role. In limited action last year, he flashed potential, and I’ve seen him a couple of times this offseason, and he throws with good velocity and can zip it in. He does a good job of throwing on the run, and he’s set up to take over in 2026, but he might seize the opportunity sooner than that.

Ferran is the new signal caller for Olympus and he throws a good deep ball and has good velocity on his throws. With two years of tape, he’ll have every chance to be recruited regionally and become a riser.

Ferran will grow into his frame and should only become a more well-rounded player once he does. He has good throwing mechanics and is rhythmic and smooth. Ferran throws a good deep ball and will lead his receivers open. He has good accuracy and throws with a nice touch. Ferran is best when he can drop back, pat the ball, and get it out on time. He gets to his second read and is a decisive pocket passer. Ferran is an exciting quarterback for the 2027 class and has a good upside.

– Was one of the two talented quarterback’s to earn an MVP at the camp. With Ferran at the helm, his team won all their scrimmages and relied heavily on his right arm
– Played with great pocket presence and made all types of throws staying from inside the pocket
– Showed a really quick release and looked very comfortable shuffling his feet and moving in the pocket. Pulled the trigger quickly and decisively
– His deep ball was on point and consistently accurate–impressive day
