Daniel Tackett
Tackett was an anchor of one of the best defenses in the state in 2022, which led to a state title. Now, after putting in the work this offseason, he will be taking on a bigger role on the Gladwin defense. He is fun to watch make plays all over the field, as he is explosive and aggressive. His hits resonate, and there is no breaking free as he wraps up and drives through ball carriers. Daniel will be must see this fall.
I had the pleasure of watching Carson last season, and I am looking forward to seeing him once again. He will be in a bigger role for 2023, and he is poised for a big year. Carson is fast off the ball, and is versatile in run and pass situations. He fills the gaps well, and is athletic enough to chase down scrambling quarterbacks. Charlotte will depend on him to be a force and a disruption this fall.

In 2022 I got to watch Jake twice, and both times I came away impressed. The first time was a snowy and cold playoff game that wasn’t conducive to a lot of passing, and he wound up with 3 catches for 41 yards. The 2nd time was indoors for a state title, and Jake came alive. 7 catches and 152 yards lifted his team to a championship. He can catch in traffic, great hands and can go up and get it over defenders. His catch radius is huge, and with his elite route running he is open more often than not. I’m anticipating another huge year for Jake, and college coaches need to be all over this guy!

Aiden passes the eye test at 6’0 270, and he moves really well at that size. Greenburg has a mean streak in the trenches and finishes his blocks. He excels in the run game, but I expect his pass protection to take a leap this season as well. He definitely fits the bill aggressive but disciplined and I am pumped to see what strides he makes this season with another offseason under his belt.
I got to witness an absolute explosion out of Nakai week 1 of 2022, and it put myself and college coaches on notice. Amachree returned the opening kickoff 95 yards for a touchdown, along with a 75 yard punt return later in the game. He’s elusive and extremely talented at improvising and extending the play for more yards. His skill combination of speed, elusiveness and vision is going to make him a very sought after recruit. I hope to get my eyes on him again because he is electrifying and has home run potential every time he gets the ball in his hands!

Wyatt and his Corunna team burst on the scene in a big way last season. After making the move to QB, Wyatt had an incredible leap in production, leading his team to their best season since 2016. He has all the tools to be successful, and after a full offseason of attending camps and showcases, I think he’s going to show another huge step. Bower has no problem tucking it and running, and is extremely dangerous in the open field. A strong arm and his accuracy make him a true dual threat QB fit to run a system efficiently and to its full potential. He should be a hot commodity in the recruiting process, and I look forward to catching him in action this fall.
