returns for his second season as QB1 in the Hominy offense. Last season, Hipp moved over to quarterback from wide receiver and became one of the better dual-threat quarterbacks in Class A-2. He would throw for more than 2,100 yards and he also ran for 14 touchdowns. This season, it wouldn’t be surprising to see him throw for 20 touchdowns and add 20 touchdowns on the ground. He’s a big and athletic quarterback that has the abilities to lead Hominy to a state championship. And he wasn’t just a playmaker on offense. He also started as a linebacker and recorded nearly 100 tackles.

following a breakout freshman season in 2022. We said that Hipp had the potential to be one of the top playmakers in Hominy’s passing game at the wide receiver position. This year, Hipp is expected to be the quarterback for the Bucks as they hand the reins to the offense to him moving forward. And there’s one thing that we like about that move and it’s the fact that they’re going from one terrific athlete to another one with Hipp. As he goes into his junior season, we expect Hipp to have a similar breakout year but from the quarterback position. It will be fun to see how this transition plays out.

is a name to remember moving forward. Hipp jumped into the rankings back in June and he remains one of the top receivers in the state’s 2026 class. We got a chance this week to see Hipp on film from earlier this season and one of the first plays we watched was him using his 6’5 frame to reach over the top of a defensive back and pull in a touchdown pass. He’s a match-up nightmare in the red zone but in the same game he also lined up in the slot and beat several defenders on a simple skinny post and outran every one for another score. We’re going to get our chance to see Hipp in person next week when they host Woodland in a massive Class A game next week.

enjoyed a breakout season and it looks like his best football continues to be ahead of him. Hipp became a big target within the Hominy offense and with a 6’5 frame, he’s going to have a size advantage every time he steps on the football field. Hipp finished with just over 200 yards and three touchdowns and then turned around and nearly had 40 tackles on the defensive side of the ball. We think that the production is only going to go up this season and he’s going to have an expanded role within the Hominy offense. The Bucks benefit from having plenty of firepower returning on offense and we think that Hipp could be a game changer.

Hipp became a big target within the Hominy offense and with a 6’5 frame, he’s going to have a size advantage every time he steps on the football field. Hipp is already getting the attention of college coaches and he’s going to have a few more opportunities as the Bucks are going to be one of the top teams in Class A this season. We think he certainly has the potential to be the leading receiver on an offense that’s going to be lighting up the scoreboard all season. Our breakdown on Hipp is just based on film, production and opinions from coaches. We’re hoping to see him and a few other standouts from Hominy in person at some point this season.
