- Here is what I had to say about Luke Van Brill in an earlier piece.
- I don’t dabble into NJ football too much, and it shows. Noticed a Luke Van Brill Luke Van Brill 6'0" | 210 lbs | TE Kingsway | 2024 State NJ getting significant time, producing too, was a name I didn’t recognize on Roman’s Hudl. Van Brill is apparently ranked as a top-ten TE in NJ before transferring to Roman before the season. 6’1, a filled-out 210. Can designate as a WR/TE depending on where Roman wants to align him pre-snap. A tough kid whose defensive reps prepare him for trench work, so having him block as an in-line TE isn’t out of his comfort zone. I’d consider him an impact blocker, especially considering his size. Van Brill likely projects to LB at the next level, yet using Van Brill in an H-back style makes too much sense. Align him in the slot, he can work seams and corners. Align him at MLB and he can plug holes like some of the best in the state. Utilize him in the backfield, at FB, at ITE, he can help block in more sophisticated run sets. I like this kid a ton.
- scored twice, involved everywhere. Becoming a big fan.
