<p><span style="font-size:14px"><span style="font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif">The Rabbits are the favorites with 15 total starters returning from last year’s state semifinalist, which also ended Minneota’s reign in Class A.</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size:14px"><span style="font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif">Wabasso is experienced at almost every position on the field except running back and defensive tackle. Coach <strong>Joe Kemp</strong> will have to find replacements for <strong>Mitchell Fulton</strong> and <strong>Jared Welch</strong>, the dynamic backfield duo which combined for around 2,900 yards and 41 touchdowns last fall. Both players were two-time All-District selections, and both also started on the Rabbits defense.</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size:14px"><span style="font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif">With the uncertainty at running back, senior quarterback <strong>Nick Altermatt</strong> figures to have a larger role in the offense next season. Two-way starters <strong>Ty Kemp</strong> (OL/LB) and <strong>Colton Taylor</strong> (WR/CB) will be the defensive leaders after posting All-District campaigns in 2016.</span></span></p>
