Able to play both on the outside, in the slot and taking direct snaps, he is a high IQ kid with outstanding ball skills, strong hands in traffic and adjusts well to the ball in the air. Davis is an explosive and smooth runner with a diverse route tree at his disposal and shows a strong initial burst after the catch and is very tough to bring down. Defensively, he triggers quickly from his safety position, flashes great anticipation and baits quarterbacks into bad throws before closing quickly and exploding through contact while violent at the POA. He is a very sound tackler in space, takes good angles in the open field while not afraid to trigger downhill in the box and take down bigger ball carriers. He is a multi-positional player on offense and a natural runner with good acceleration and open field speed while waiting for his blocks to develop and slow-playing before hitting his second level gear. On tape, he shows terrific contact balance and has sneaky open field speed while also a natural pass catcher with strong hands and body control in traffic. He is a stout in the box run blocker that wins with lower body strength, a low hat and strong inside punch at the POA off the ball. He is explosive out of his stance while driving defenders off the ball with a nasty finish and shows he is athletic enough to pull and block in space through the second level.
