A big interior offensive lineman that will be at Duncanville High School this upcoming fall. The 6-foot, 302 pound offensive lineman is a wide body that makes it very difficult for defensive linemen or blitzing linebackers, to penetrate the backfield. For a big man he has much better feet than one would anticipate in a confined area, with a quick initial punch. Has the ability to play tackle if asked to, but think he’s much better inside right now due to lack of length in his frame. Escobedo’s bread is buttered with his strength. If he gets his hands on a rusher and sit stay low in his stance, I like his chances to win the rep at this point. Haven’t had the chance to see much run blocking out of him, but I’m beyond confident in his ability in his pass pro. Has a better kick slide than many high school offensive linemen and does a good job being patient. He sits in his stances and waits, rarely gets over extended. Again, his feet are good, but overall speed and quickness can improve.
