Varnes is 5’11” tall and 178 lbs; Varne’s’strong cannon-like arm is one of the many abilities that make him special. Not only does he possess a strong arm, but he can also throw a ball with just enough touch to allow his receivers to make a play on the ball when they are in tight coverage. He also has the ability to use his legs to escape the pocket when it begins to collapse around him. Varnes is an experienced QB that looks to lead Brandon back on another State Title run in 2024.
Jay Ulmer Jay Ulmer 5'10" | 160 lbs | ATH Mendenhall | 2024 State MS | 6’0″ RB/DB | Senior | Mendenhall
Ulmer is 6’0″ tall and 165 lbs; Ulmer is a force to be reckoned with on the defensive side of the ball. He has the ability to take over the game on the defensive side of the ball. Ulmer is a lockdown physical Defensive Back that can cover the entire field. When he is on the field, he makes the opposing QB think three or four times before the ball is thrown in his direction. On the offensive side of the ball, he is one of the quicker running backs I have seen in this class. He has excellent vision and strong hands coming out of the backfield.
Damion Miller | 6’4″ WR | Senior | Port Gibson
Miller is 6’4″ tall and 190 lbs; Miller is set to have a huge Senior year in 2024. He makes it very difficult for a defensive back to cover him alone in man coverage. He is able to create seperation from the defensive back by running quick precise routes. Miller’s abilty to create seperation is going to give him a chance to play at the next level. When the ball is in the air he attacks it at it highest point and typically finds a way to come down with it.
Nehemiah Taylor Nehemiah Taylor 6'1" | 190 lbs | ATH Oak Grove | 2024 State MS | 6’1″ WR | Senior | Oak Grove
Taylor is 6’1″ tall and 190 lbs; Taylor in simple terms is a special athlete. In 2023 he did most of his damage on special teams by being quick and shifty. He has a knack for making people miss when he has the ball in his hands. After only playing in three games during his Junior season Taylor is set to have a break out season in 2024.
Tyran Mosley | 6’2″ WR | Senior | Kosciusko
Mosley is 6’2″ tall and 165 lbs; Mosley is one of the best deep ball threat targets I have seen in this class. He is able to use his body to keep defenders away from the ball when the ball is thrown in his direction. He has strong hands and is able to read a defense. He does a great job of sitting down in the zone and letting his QB find him. With his vision of the field and his route running ability he could be the main sleeper in the WR class of 2024.
