I've been digging into Mississippi's 2029 class, and a few guys are starting to jump off the film. You've got long athletes on the outside, downhill defenders and some big young bodies already making noise in the trenches. So, here are seven prospects who have caught my eye.

The more I watch Fletcher, the more I like him. The size jumps out first, but he's a pretty smooth athlete for that frame. At receiver, I like the catch radius and his ability to give the quarterback a big target. Also, when you flip him over to defense, that same length becomes interesting in coverage. A player with this kind of versatility gives you options. Overall, I like the two-way value because he has traits that translate on either side.

McGregory has a lot of what I look for in a young corner. The length is there, but what caught my eye is how comfortable he looks matching receivers. He stays patient, can recover when he gets a little out of position and closes well when the ball goes up. Plus, he's willing to come downhill and tackle. I like the frame and coverage upside here. Moving forward, I want to see him add more strength and continue cleaning up his transitions.

Bibbs has some juice. Give him the football with room to operate, and he can turn a routine touch into an explosive play. I like his ability to change direction, find space and create after the catch. Also, he's not just an athlete playing receiver. There are some good flashes with his hands, releases and routes. However, the next step is becoming more consistent in those areas. I really like the playmaking upside here.

Short is a prospect I want to continue getting eyes on. What I like early is his ability to find open areas and make himself available to the quarterback. Also, he competes when the football comes his way and has shown enough playmaking ability to get on my radar. Still, I want to see the finer parts of his receiver game continue to come along, especially his releases, route tempo and ability to consistently separate. Overall, there's enough here to make Short a name worth following.

Aycock passes the eye test, but I'm more interested in his feet than the number on the scale. For a young lineman his size, he moves pretty well. I like the lateral movement and the flashes he shows with his initial punch. Also, his frame gives him some interesting long-term potential in pass protection. A player this big who can move is always going to catch my attention. For me, the next step is improving his hand placement and playing with better leverage.

Henson brings a different flavor up front. He's big and physical, but what I like is that he'll keep looking for work. He can finish the first block, climb to the second level and go find somebody else. Also, that effort jumps out to me. He moves pretty well for a 285-pound lineman, too. However, the pad level and hand placement still need work. Overall, I like the foundation. Size, power and a willingness to finish give him plenty to build on.

Mississippi's 2029 class has some intriguing pieces, and we're going to learn a lot more as these guys continue getting varsity reps. Moving forward, I want to see who keeps producing and who takes the biggest jump over the next year.

These are seven prospects you need to know before everybody else does.

I've been digging into Mississippi's 2029 class, and a few guys are starting to jump off the film. You've got long athletes on the outside, downhill defenders and some big young bodies already making noise in the trenches. So, here are seven prospects who have caught my eye.
