For now, we will dive into the underclassmen classes at the program and what each prospect could provide in the future. The Inter-Ac is quickly becoming a hotbed of talent in and around Philadelphia. Let’s get to know the talent at Malvern Prep a bit better.
Malvern Prep Offense
Many offensive prospects listed below are close to being the top-ranked players at their respective positions. Skyler Smith Skyler Smith 6’1″ | 185 lbs | QB Malvern Prep | 2025 State PA ‘s name is always in the discussion when we decide who should place as PA’s top 2025 passer. He’s going up against a monster in Stone Saunders Stone Saunders 6’2″ | 200 lbs | QB Bishop McDevitt | 2025 State PA , yet that should tell you just how highly I think of the soon-to-be junior quarterback. Last Fall, we all got a glimpse of what things could be like with Smith under center. Despite injuries holding Smith back, the young man gained the necessary experience needed to serve as a green light for the future. Skyler Smith Skyler Smith 6’1″ | 185 lbs | QB Malvern Prep | 2025 State PA is the future of the program. Thankfully, the dual-threat prospect will have plenty of help surrounding him for years to come.

The running back stable has to excite the Friar coaching staff. Seeing Chris Smith work in years past, I have to imagine that he’d see the bulk of the work moving forward. An every-down back that can run between the tackles and catch balls out of the backfield, Smith should serve well as RB1. That being said, seniors Tucker-Turner and Gueriera will have their fair share of opportunities. The more backs the better. Jake Bauer and Daniel Riely will undoubtedly have their hands in the rep share, yet with two senior backs deserving looks, I imagine Bauer could help at LB in the meantime, as well as Riely at DB if need be. Incredible luxury of depth to have at running back, behind what we all know to be a special offensive line unit. Reily and Bauer both intrigue me from a build perspective. Versatility is the name of the game at Malvern Prep, these two have worked and developed to contribute elsewhere early and often.
Highlights
Luke Hardy
Luke Hardy
When I think of the Malvern Prep attack in years past, I first think of the offensive line bulldozing paths and lanes for backs to exploit, with a more than confident passer who is willing to test defenses deep, while also hitting giant TE prospects open in the intermediate areas of the game. The development of PJ Holmes might broaden this offense even further. Malvern Prep has an elite talent waiting on the sideline in Preston Holmes, a young man who I wanted to place as the top-ranked wideout this past update. We are all expecting to see FBS interest build this off-season, if not the next. Holmes still has a lot to prove, yet this 6’2 pass-catcher gives MP a threat to score through the air on nearly every play.
Luke Hardy will also be thrown into the WR mix. Malvern Prep will undoubtedly deploy several 6’2-6’3 TE prospects that can both in-line block and catch the ball. Yet, Luke Hardy might provide a more natural feel to the receiver position. I expect Holmes and Hardy to carry the load in terms of yards this coming Fall.
Very excited to see how Frank Mullery Frank Mullery 6’0″ | 250 lbs | OL St. Joseph’s Prep | 2026 State PA matures under a coaching staff that knows how to develop offensive linemen. I expect Mullery to grow into his pads a bit further, intrigued as to what his build will look like moving forward. Will his skillset have him leaning toward the defensive side of the ball? He’s going to contribute wherever Coach Gueriera and staff want him to this early on. We all know about Demcyk, Horan, and Peter Jones Peter Jones 6’5″ | 300 lbs | OL Malvern Prep | 2024 State PA , how quickly can Frank Mullery Frank Mullery 6’0″ | 250 lbs | OL St. Joseph’s Prep | 2026 State PA join that elite group?
