Emgarten is a player that is flying under but it won’t be that way for long. He is a big play threat in the return game and returned a couple for touchdowns this past year. If he is able to duplicate the success in the return game this year he will standout for college prospects. In the receiving game he looks fluent with his route running and shows good hands. He is effective in the quick passing game and navigates through his blocking well when he has the ball in his hands. He uses his speed to outrun defenders and has those explosive plays that you look for. Would like to see him improve his separation on route but is a skilled player that can make defenders miss in the open field.
Jordan Leslie
Jordan Leslie
Leslie shows good agility and control when he is coming in and out of cuts. He can setup his routes well getting defenders off balance before coming back to the ball. He is a player that can beat you with speed at times and he shows good vision/instinct when he has the ball, cutting back to setup blocks and utilizing the field to gain extra yards. He is a physical runner that is hard to bring down, breaking through arm tackles and pulling the pile with him. He will be someone to watch as he should be a key player in the Mustangs offense and will have more chances to get some explosive plays in the passing game.
Reese is a big physical receiver that has a lot of speed to go with it, he is a mismatch problem for most corners and will be a receiver to keep an eye on this season. He is a player that is able to get good releases of the line and is solid in his route running abilities. He is someone who will go up and fight for the ball at the high point and pulls down those 50/50 balls. He has shown consistently after he gets the ball that he can make things happen with it, breaking tackles or being able to outrun the DB’s. He can take the top off of the defense and is a big play threat with his vision. He is a player that can help set the edge in the running game as well, blocking the defender out of the play with force. He is one of the top receivers in the state but will need to show his big play ability more consistently this season.
Jackson Hansen
Jackson Hansen
Hansen has the chance to make a big jump this season as he will be the top returning receiver and is a player that can be used in the running game as well. He can blow the top off of coverages with his speed and shows good hands coming down with some difficult catches. On multiple occasions he has caught the ball in traffic over the defender making spectacular grabs. He is quick and breaks down defenders alignment quickly being able to stack them when he gets past. He is used in end-arounds and quick hitting bubble plays that he can use his speed for explosive plays. The way he is able to cut and maintain his speed will make him an interesting prospect to keep an eye on.
Latimer has great speed and field vision being able to see and use the entire field to gain extra yardage and outrun defenders as well. He is shifty when he gets into the open field and it is hard to catch him as he has some good top end speed. He has the speed to push the defense vertical and he shows good hands being able to high point the ball and out jump defenders. He is not a player that you leave in one on one coverage often because he can make you pay. He excels in double moves or quick hitting plays where he can make things happen after the catch. He can also cause damage in the return game as he has the ability to return some to the house. Will be a guy to watch as he will try and duplicate last years production.
