Dylan Cormier QB, Cypress Woods – It is usually strange to see a team who primarily runs the Wing T have a top passer, but it has become a thing with Cormier at quarterback. Cormier is second in the district in passing touchdowns with 12 and third in passing yards with 1,008 this season. He has been able be a threat in the air as well on the ground. Cormier is a very powerful runner and provides a great red zone weapon. He is second on the team and fifth in the district in rushing with 548 yards along with 8 touchdowns.
Hunter Wallis WR, Bridgeland – Wallis is guy I can see playing next level because of his work ethic. He is somewhat of a safety valve for his quarterback and is a reliable target. He can run any route and with the right coaching he can only get better. Wallis leads the district in receptions with 47, leads in receiving yards with 742, and leads in receiving touchdowns with 7. He has been a big part of his team’s undefeated season and only more great things are to come from this guy.
JP Martin RB, Cypress Falls – After watching Martin’s game vs Cypress Springs, I would have offered him twice. In that game Martin put up 187 yards on 18 rushes with a touchdown. He shows good patience in his runs and allows his blockers to get to their spots. Martin’s ability to put a foot in the ground and explode to get big yards is great to watch and his ability to change gears is a sight to see. Through 5 games he has played, Martin has racked up 516 yards along with 6 touchdowns. He is averaging 103 yards per game which is second in the district.
Trayse Holmes RB, Cypress Woods – Holmes seems to be the workhorse in this Wing T offense. He is averaging 20 carries a game and has not disappointed. Holmes is a hard nose back who fights for his yards and you have to love it. Short yard downs, he is the guy and you know you will get what you need. Defenders who are not prepared for him will end up in the grass. He and Cormier have done a great job leading the offense. On the year, Holmes has rushed for 701 yards which is third in the district and has 9 touchdowns which is tied for second in district .
