Syphus is an athlete and a two-way player. He’ll come in on offense in packages and does well in space. He can line up as a receiver, in the back field and is a player you get in space and let him create. Defensively, he is a talented defensive back. He has the necessary hip fluidity to be a cover corner and he has the physicality and range to be a deep safety or box safety. His athleticism and being a chess piece on defense, frees up the entire unit and they can deploy any scheme with him on the field.

Syphus has great size and frame and should be able to add an extra 10-15 lbs without limiting his skill set. He is a Swiss army knife and a chess piece that can be lined up anywhere. I prefer Syphus as a Running Back/H-Back. As a runner, he showcases good contact balance and vision. Syphus is a runner with good speed and can easily get to the edge, get to his runway, and has the finishing speed for home. As a receiver, he showcases good route running with good ball-tracking skills and strong hands at the catch point. Syphus will line up in the backfield, as an in-line Tight End, in the slot for a mismatch, and out wide as a boundary receiver. He has a great ceiling, and his athleticism should get him looks regionally in recruiting.
