Nobody had their stock rise more this weekend than Rakowski. He was the lowest-ranked quarterback coming in and one of just two uncommitted quarterbacks. Rakowski won the rail shot challenge, had a strong pro day workout and was one of the top performers in 7 on 7. He had a chip on his shoulder and was confident in every drill he did. Rakowski was talked about a lot among the media in attendance and was very impressive.

Rakowski had an outstanding day completing 24 of 27 passes for seven touchdowns. He was the first player to throw over two touchdown passes on the day and he was playing with pace. Rakowski had a breakout camp and was the talk of the weekend with his performance on all three days.

Nobody has had their stock rise more than Rakowski on the first two nights. He won the Rail Shot challenge on night one and had an excellent pro day workout. Rakowski had great ball placement near the sideline and his accuracy has shined so far this weekend.

Rakowski won the rail shot challenge and was picking up confidence as the day went on. I came in thinking his skillset shows better on film than in a camp setting but his arm talent shined on Friday and his athleticism showed while throwing on the run. Rakowski was one of the more accurate quarterbacks of the day and was catching the eye of a lot of people at the camp who hadn’t seen him before.

Rakowski, a 5-11, 181-pound three-star QB, excels with quick release and accuracy (CIF champ). Strengths: Precision, decision-making. Weaknesses: Size limits deep arm. To counter Fields, Rakowski should attack with tempo passes, forcing Carson’s defense into errors.

I thought Rakowski took a bit to get warmed up but was throwing some of the best balls of the day by the end of the camp. He looked comfortable with the footwork in all of the drills and was throwing very accurate balls. Rakowski doesn’t physically stand out like some of the others but is a gamer when the pads come on. He was one of the winners of the accuracy challenge as well.
