The 2024 Rankings are out, and there some QBs that have the opportunity to shoot up the rankings further. The following players represent a group of guys that are proven go-getters (hence the ranking), and can surely raise their stock with great performances moving forward.

[player_tooltip player_id='77216' first='Isaiah' last='Marshall'] | Southfield A&T | Hudl

Isaiah is ranked #5 in the state. Why would he have anything to prove? Well, from what I know about Isaiah, it's that he wants a ring. This past season, he took a leap in his game. He led an extremely high-powered offense that defeated Cass Tech, River Rouge, and won the OAA White. There were so many highlight plays that Isaiah made seemingly out of nowhere, and by the end of the season, Southfield was in the championship conversation. Now, it's time for another step up. I truly believe that Isaiah can become the true #1 QB in the state with a sensational 2023 season.

[player_tooltip player_id='328493' first='Grant' last='Hetherton'] | Brighton | Hudl

Honestly, this is a pretty high ranking for a player who played backup last season. The thing is, Grant has been performing sensationally at camps and I know multiple people who are confident that Grant will be better than last year's QB. This is a guy who has been grinding his tail off and he's proven himself more than most this offseason. Still, you have to prove your worth. There are a lot of QBs that shine in the offseason and lay eggs in the fall, though I'm confident Grant will do well. Still, you never really know until it happens. Hope he keeps working and surpasses his already high expectations in the fall!

[player_tooltip player_id='249012' first='Reqez' last='Nance'] | West Bloomfield | Hudl

It was extremely hard ranking Nance lower, but after a few conversation with some sources, it was the correct thing to do. I truly think that from here on, Nance's calling is #4 QB, and his floor is right about here. In other words, the only way is up. I really like his style of play, as it's comparable to Kyler Murray. He can run it, but is usually smart when doing so. He can throw, but surely has his limitations. What I'm looking for in Nance is consistent high-level play against the top-tier programs. In order to do this, he needs to read defenses a bit better, work on accuracy, and overall IQ. Keep working, keep working, keep working. I know Nance feels he's got something to prove, so go prove it!

[player_tooltip player_id='207193' first='Alek' last='Wickstrom'] | GR Christian | Hudl

Wickstrom is a guy with a lot of great flashes, but he and GR Christian weren't able to put much together this past season. Being ranked already means you're a great player doing a lot of things right, but I think Wickstrom has all the tools to raise his stock. I know that Wickstom is working on his craft as he's been attending showcases, and we actually get trained at the same gym (PSTS). I also know that he's committed to a bounceback season both for himself and the team. Frankly, I can't wait to see it all play out!

[player_tooltip player_id='253290' first='Ryan' last='Shelby'] | North Farmington | Hudl

I've always seen a ton of potential with [player_tooltip player_id='253290' first='Ryan' last='Shelby']. He's a dual-threat QB wo loves going for the big play. At the end of the 2021 season, I was intrigued by what I saw from Ryan, but I knew he had to clean some stuff up. This past season, Ryan had some bright sports, but some bad spots. Mostly, it was a repeat of 2021. The point I'm trying to get across is that [player_tooltip player_id='253290' first='Ryan' last='Shelby'] is a sensational athlete who just needs to get a few ticks better at ball security, overall IQ, and some throwing mechanics. Shelby truly has top-100 in the state upside, dare I say top 70. He just needs to prove it. Looking at one of his most recent tweets, he's on his way.
