The 6’2”175 lb. Oregon State signee is a well-rounded receiver with a good combination of athleticism, speed, and technique. He’s a creative route runner that has a strong release off the LOS and can sell his routes at the break point. Can smoothly get in and out of his breaks dropping his hip level and bursting out of his cuts. He’s a competitor that attacks the ball at the high point using his length and extension to haul in contested receptions. Good open field speed to stretch the field or run after the catch at the short and intermediate levels. Collected a combination of FCS and FBS before signing to his only P5 offer from Oregon State on Early Signing Day.
Watkins was flying under the radar much his high school career and it was surprising to see him not pick up his first FBS offer until December of his senior year. At 6’5” 190 lbs. he’s a tough matchup for any defender that can’t match his length and speed. He’s a strider with good long speed to be a vertical threat and force the defense to cover all areas of the field. His length, leaping ability, and balls skills make him an excellent redzone and jump ball threat that can go over the top of defenders and compete for the ball. Love his ability to come down with contested catches in traffic. First offered by Portland State last May then followed up by College of Idaho, San Diego, Black Hills State, finally Hawaii, where he committed shortly after. Finished with 42 catches for almost 800 yards and 11 touchdowns in 2022. Growth potential and length give him good upside as heads to Hawaii.
Weir is a natural playmaker flashing excellent versatility and explosiveness at multiple positions. As a WR at 5’9” 155 lbs. he can create separation with speed alone or use his strong technical route running to create open throwing lanes. Possesses great quick twitch ability and natural fluidity in the hips to get in and out of his breaks as a route runner to break off defenders. Has the speed and open field elusiveness to score every time he touches the ball showing burst out of his cuts and quickly getting to top speed to breakaway from tacklers. He’s sure handed and does a good job using his body control to adjust to the ball in the air. Signed to Eastern Washington on Early Signing Day.
Jackson really took off when he transferred to Garfield for his senior year after spending his first three years at O’Dea. At 6’2” 185 lbs. he’s a physical receiver with length. He’s a plus route runner that that is quick out of his stance and into his drive phase to break cushion and force the DB out of his back pedal. Great natural ball skills, he’s strong at the catch point and is known for his ability to make difficult catches in traffic. Length, extension, and leaping ability give him a large catch radius outside of his framework. Understands how to use his size to his advantage and create positional leverage. Under recruited given his size and wide skillset but currently holds an offer from Eastern Washington.
Manzano is a quick and explosive athlete with the versatile skillset to impact the game in all three phases. He’s a natural playmaker with good instincts, speed, and twitch. He’s aggressive off the LOS closing space on the DB with good short area burst and drive phase. Love his ability to mix up releases against both press and off coverage. He does a good job setting up his routes and accelerating out of his breaks to create space. Plus body control and coordination to track and adjust to ball flight. Uses his lateral quickness and start stop speed to make big plays after the catch. Uncommitted right now with a handful of D3 offers but will be a good get for whoever lands him with his talent/ability.
