Huskies run away from Fliers in big win
Elk Point- Jefferson was battling for playoff seeding on Friday, the Flandreau Fliers came to town to play spoiler. After the opening drive, the Fliers came out swinging and scored first, the Huskies came right back and put up 42 unanswered points until the 4th Quarter. A solid rushing attack led the way for the Huskies, followed by some big defensive plays as well. Flandreau played a great game too, just had too many drives stall out. 1st Quarter:

Players Highlighted from Elk Point-Jefferson:
RB/DB- Riley Schmitz did a great job running the ball out of a unique offense, shifty, does not go down easy, and blazing speed.
WR/DE- Andrew Nearman is a great role player on defense, holds contain and makes the sure tackle. Offensively got open and made plays after the catch.
FB/LB- Skyler Swatek flowed to the ball well and made the tackle, wrapped up every time and delivered some hits. Offensively, blocked and ran the ball well, power back even though he may be considered undersized.
WR/DB- Tyler Goehring was great on punt returns, found space and had some big returns for good field position. Made plays off of screens as well in space.
DT- Darrin Quiett slowed the run game down and held it in check all game long. Good first step and drives back the offensive lineman.
Players Highlighted from Flandreau:
RB/DB- Ethan Hoffman ran the ball well, made some great cuts and did not shy away from contact.
QB/DB- Tanner Christenson ran the offense well, made some good throws for big plays. Defensively, was good in coverage.
FB/LB- Tash Lunday ran the ball very hard, got open in pass routes, and blocked for the back really well. Defensively flew around the field and made a good share of tackles.
OL/DL- Brady Johnson moved on the line to make blocks extremely well, got downfield on runs to open up seams for the backs.
