Quaid Thompson: LB / 5’11 / 140lbs / Milford HS Sr.
Thompson leads the state in tackles with 95 tackles, averaging 13.6 tackles a game. A tackling machine who plays with good awareness in the tackle box. Avoids and sheds blocks on inside runs. Plays with good range on outside runs and good pursuit to the ball. A sure tackler that can wrap up at in the tackle box and the open field.
Bryson Bennett: LB / 5’10 / 205lbs / Cedar City HS Sr.
Bennett comes in 2nd with 89 tackles averaging 12.7 tackles a game. Made 21 tackles against Canyon View as a solid contributor in Cedar City’s defense. Here are some clips of his games this season.
Camron Carling: LB / 5’8 / 155lbs / Sky View HS Sr.
Carling is a tough physical player who can play in the tackle box. He’s currently 3rd in the state with 84 tackles averaging 12 tackles a game. Carling plays with good awareness in the tackle box having a good nose for the football. Has good change of direction in zone coverage and pursuit to the ball.
Christian Blanch: LB / 6’0 / 215lbs / Fremont HS Sr.
Blanch is currently 4th in the state with 82 tackles averaging 11.7 tackles a game. Blanch plays with good awareness in the middle having good use of hands to shed blocks. A physical tackler that can impose his will, don’t believe me ? check him out ….
Buck Sargent: LB / 6’1 / 160lbs / North Summit HS So.
Sargent enters week 7 with 82 tackles averaging 11.7 tackles a game. Sargent plays with good awareness and quickness in the tackle box avoiding blocks to make the tackle. Good change of direction in zone coverage. A sure tackler that can make the tackle in the trenches and the open field.
