DL [player_tooltip player_id='348147' first='Zaydrius' last='Rainey-Sale'] 6-2 215 So. Bethel

One of the top defensive recruits in WA for 2025 is averaging 8+ tackles per game from his OLB/DE spot, to go along with multiple sacks and tackles for loss in the first few games.

DL [player_tooltip player_id='158369' first='Jayden' last='Wells'] 6-2 225 Jr. Mount Si

Wells had a nice all conference sophomore season and has backed that up the first part of 22'. He is currently among the state leaders in sacks and must play well if the Wildcats are going to advance.

DL [player_tooltip player_id='158344' first='AJ' last='Tanupo'] 6-3 285 Jr. Eastside Catholic

It will be good to see AJ go against the likes of O'Dea and Garfield in the coming weeks. He started off the season with a bang making 5 tackles with a sack against Kennedy Catholic.

DL Landon Barger 6-3 290 Jr. Yelm

Barger is having a POY type season on defense, while dominating the likes of Camas and Union. He is a physical presence with the #1 ranked Tornados outscoring their opponents 213-27 through 4 games.

OLB [player_tooltip player_id='338788' first='Isaiah' last='Patterson'] 6-2 215 Jr. Yelm

Patterson's offers and current production of the teams D kind of speaks for itself. He has a high ceiling currently avearging 6+ tackles per game with multiple sacks and tackles for loss.

OLB Dre Sio-Fetaui 6-2 225 So. Lincoln

Still super young with an incredibly bright future. Sio-Fetaui is averaging close to double digit tackles per game for a (4-0) Abes team which has handled the likes of Skyline and Camas. He has the potential of being a big-time recruit.

OLB [player_tooltip player_id='338826' first='Mingo' last='Lemley'] 6-3 200 Jr. Bothell

All Conference kid as a sophomore. Bothell is (1-3) but still one of the better teams in WA. Look for Lemley to be a key contributor moving forward.

LB [player_tooltip player_id='115328' first='Brayden' last='Platt'] 6-2 230 Jr. Yelm

As of right now the best player in Washington in my opinion. Separate from his dominance on D, the 4* LB recruit is averaging 150 yards per game on the ground, in limited time due to blowouts. He is on a different level.

LB [player_tooltip player_id='158333' first='David' last='Lene'] 6-1 220 Jr. Eastside Catholic

The 3* LB recruit looks like the real deal. He has EC (4-0) and headed into back-to-back matchups with O'Dea and Garfield the next two weeks. Lene separates himnself with his overall athleticism, with multiple INTs on the year.

LB Peyton Cunningham 6-1 180 So. North Creek

Cunningham has a stock which is rising quickly. He recently showed off his versatility catching 5 passes for 213 yards and 3 TDs against Mt Si. As good as he is on O, he could very well be a high level collegiate WLB/Safety type.

LB Bradley Perman 6-0 205 Jr. Glacier Peak

Glacier is one of the top teams in Washington and Perman was leading his squad in tackles through 3 weeks. Even with the 16-14 loss at Rocklin, California, he should help the Grizzlies make a playoff run.

LB [player_tooltip player_id='348191' first='Kyree' last='Wright'] 5-10 205 So. Auburn Riverside

One of the most impressive sophomores in the state. He wasted no time showing what he can do accounting for 6 tackles per game, while averaging 12 yards per carry on offense. The Ravens have some quality young talent.

LB Jonathan Epperson Jr. 6-0 195 So. Auburn Riverside

Just an outstanding overall athlete. He is currently leading his team and among the state leaders in tackles. The fact that he is only a sophomore speaks to his projection.

LB [player_tooltip player_id='206273' first='Aiden' last='Nicholson'] 6-2 185 Jr. Mountain View

One of the top two-way threats in the state. A few weeks back he torched Union with 9 catches for 254 yards and 5 TDs in the teams 62-35 win. Almost just as impressive was his defensive performance where he had 4 tackles for loss, a sack, and a fumble recovery.

LB [player_tooltip player_id='236617' first='Luke' last='Myklebust'] 5-11 180 Jr. Mercer Island

Mercer is 0-4 but Mylkebust deserves recognition, breaking the school record for tackles in a single game (22) a few weeks back, while averaging 15+ per contest. Without him they would be in some serious trouble.

DB [player_tooltip player_id='158345' first='Kyan' last='McDonald'] 6-0 175 O'Dea

A lot of the attention has rightfully gone to [player_tooltip player_id='115335' first='Jason' last='Brown'] but the 3* CB is the real deal. He has the potential of being one of the top DB's in the country for his class.

DB [player_tooltip player_id='158342' first='Gio' last='Kafentzis'] 5-10 175 Jr. Emerald Ridge

This kid has been everywhere. Kafentzis is one of the biggest reasons the Jaguars are one of the fastest rising teams in the state. Separate from his state leading receiving totals (30 receptions, 100+ypg, 5 TDs) he has locked up receivers and picked off multiple balls.

DB [player_tooltip player_id='158334' first='Marquawn' last='McCraney'] 6-2 185 Jr. Highline

The 4* athlete has had a good season thus far, helping his team go (3-1) while locking everyone up in the secondary. Look for him to contribute more on offense where he has caught 10 passes for 126 yards and 2 TDs.

DB De'arius Hawkins 5-11 170 So. Spanaway Lake

Easily one of the state's most impressive sophomore's one month in. Hawkins has been physical, playing beyond his years and accounting for 30+ tackles and a handful of PBUs, through 4 games.

DB [player_tooltip player_id='115333' first='Beau' last='Phillips'] 5-10 185 Jr. Mount Si

Phillips is one of the top offensive underclassmen in the state, but he can also play some D. His 2 INTs versus Skyline last week were clutch, even in the 13-7 loss.

DB [player_tooltip player_id='205682' first='Brock' last='Beaner'] 6-0 180 So. Anacortes

Brock and his brother Brady have both been dominant early this season. His 8 tackles and 3 tackles for loss per game have him ranked among the state leaders defensively. Not even counting his 150 yards per game, 2 TD average on O.

DB [player_tooltip player_id='348140' first='D'Aryhian' last='Clemons'] 6-0 175 So. Spanaway Lake

Most of what Clemons has done has been on offense going for over 100+ per night. That said as he is a standout in the secondary and someone we will hear a lot about on the national circuit in the years ahead.

DB [player_tooltip player_id='158339' first='Isaac' last='Syph'] 5-11 165 Jr. Kennedy Catholic

Super good overall athlete with multiple INTs on the year. He has had a presence on offense but projects more on D or as a return man.
