McThenia led the Hurricanes to their first win of the season on Friday, as the senior quarterback posted a 78% completion percentage on 23 passing attempts. What’s even more impressive is that McThenia accounted for 335 yards and 6 touchdowns for Marian Central. He has a powerful arm with strong accuracy, as McThenia can push the ball down the field with velocity to drop the ball in over his defenders. He did just that all last Friday night and is sure to continue dropping dimes throughout the season.

Mr. McThenia has a great connection with the highly sought-after Christian Bentancur Christian Bentancur 6'5" | 240 lbs | TE Marian Central Catholic | 2024 State IL in the air attack. This young man’s ability to put the ball just outside the reach of defenders where his man can secure the catch is one to keep a close eye on. What stands out the most about this young man is how he can add a touch to level 2 and level 3 throws threading the needle in tight coverage.  This young man also flashes his ability to stand strong to get the ball off under pressure as well as being able to pull the ball down to scramble to keep the chains moving.
