Today was a hot day in Madison Co, but that didn’t keep some great QBs and receivers from coming out. It was a great day for learning and QB Mechanix was able to introduce what they do in MS. These are a few guys that stood out today. Jamarcus Pittman, 6-3 228, QB, McComb, 2024 Jamarcus had a very great season last year. He had over 2200 yards passing last season. He also added over 20 passing TDs. Him and his receivers were on a roll last season. Jamarcus throws the ball very well. He is very strong and puts a very nice zip on the ball. He understands how to get it done at QB. Today he was making nice throws and going through drills doing a good job. He is very raw. He needs training, but this kid can throw it. He also has some confidence. He stepped in last season and did a great job as a sophomore. He listens very well and is coachable. He needs to work on keeping his feet moving when dropping back in the pocket. He does not have a problem of getting his legs under his throws, but he needs to make sure he follows through. He has proven what he can do on the field. I think if he continues to work he is a guy who has a chance to play QB at the next level. He also needs to get to work in the weightroom. I think he can play around 210 or 215. [player_tooltip player_id="344083" first="SanFrisco" last="Magee"], 6-2 195, WR, McComb, 2024 Magee made a lot of noise last season and he holds offers from Nebraska and Arkansas State. He has been nicknamed "Mr. Head Ball" cause he is known for being magical with the jump ball. Magee has great hands and he was showcasing that today. He has a very smooth glide when he runs and you can’t even tell he has good speed. I like the way he attacks jump balls at their highest point. He is also a very coachable kid who gets better every rep. I think he needs to get better in and out of his cuts when he runs his routes. He needs to dip his hips and bottom more due to his height and size. He has offers going into his junior year for a reason. Kid is going to make a great receiver at the next level. [player_tooltip player_id="291089" first="Jackson" last="Bradley"], 6-3 200, QB, Oak Grove (LA), 2025 Jackson attends Oak Grove High in Louisiana. He came from three hours today to learn a thing or two. This kid can spin the football. He throwing was very impressive today. He has great mechanics. He knows how to lead his receivers and make sure they can make good moves after the catch. He throws a very good deep ball. He doesn’t make the same mistake twice. He has great hips when he is throwing on the run. He has a great release. He can make any throw you need him to make. He moves very well to be his size. He is in great shape and you can tell he is a player. This kid does a great job. He does not have many flaws. Sometimes he tends to hold the ball too long, but it looks like he counts on that quick release to save his throws. I think he needs to stay more consistent with getting the ball out on time. He needs to make sure he gets a nice quick drop whether it is a catch and pop or three step. That quick drop will happen him get the ball out on time each throw. I think we will hear big things from this QB over the next three seasons. Kid looks good. Swahili Slaughter, 6-4 190, WR, Louisville, 2023 Always good to see Swahili out there getting some work in. He is a guy that is flying under the radar who only needs a chance. He plays at Louisville where the ball gets around. He won’t have a thousand yard season, but he is a player. He moves very well to be his size, but he is a little wobbly at times. I think he needs to learn how to handle that long body in and out of his cuts. He catches the ball very well and has nice hands. He also can go up and get it. His QB Xavier Hunt was out there making some good passes to him. Louisville will have a good year with these two on offense.
