<p>Iowa's Outstanding Player selection looked like a steal for Houston, with whom he signed this month, with a constant string of highlight-reel plays. Bushnell caught four passes for 112 yards and three touchdowns, including a 49-yarder up the sideline, and rushed three times for 46 yards and another score, a 45-yarder. He was physical both hanging on to receptions through hard-hitting attempted breakups and breaking tackles with the ball in his hands and flashed breakaway speed at times on long gain in both the pass and run games. </p>

<p>Another top candidate for Outstanding Player honors for Iowa, the versatile athlete was probably the biggest breakout star of the weekend with his 15 carries for 172 yards and two touchdowns, plus five tackles and a pass breakup. Houston subsequently extended an offer Sunday, and the coming months appear certain to feature a major recruiting blow-up for the athletic safety and running back. </p>

<p><strong>J'vien Adams — 5-8, 160 RB — Iowa (2026)</strong></p>

<p>The Yellow Jackets' record-setting bell-cow runner carried 24 times for 158 yards and a touchdown and caught two passes for 16 yards.</p>

<p><strong>Lawston Broussard — 5-10, 165 QB — Iowa (2027)</strong></p>

<p>Broussard was sharp and efficient orchestrating the Iowa offense with 11-for-15 passing for 183 yards, two touchdowns and no interception and seven carries for 24 yards, another score and multiple conversions on pivotal downs. </p>

<p><strong>Jordan Bushnell — 6-1, 180 LB — Iowa (2028)</strong></p>

<p>Stops were difficult to come by overall, but the sophomore linebacker snatched a leaping interception out toward the sideline that helped set up a go-ahead score in the third quarter.</p>

<p>The big left guard, with great size and mobility for the next level, was among the trench standouts for an Iowa offense that compile nearly 600 yards of total offense, including 405 yards and five touchdowns on 56 rushes. </p>

<p>The Northwestern State signee led the Griffins back to a title game for the second time in four years, the first two trips in program history, and earned his team's Outstanding Player honors. Delafield completed 17 of his 24 passes for 233 yards, two touchdowns and an interception and also rushed 13 times for 79 yards and a score, showcasing himself as more of a weapon on the ground than he's typically been known for.</p>
