Fairmont Prep (Anaheim) class of 2023 pass rusher Collins Acheampong cut his list of schools down to six and said he will announce his commitment on July 1.
Acheampong named Miami, Michigan, Oregon, UCLA, USC and Washington as his final list of schools.
He is 6-foot-7, around 240 pounds with an 83-inch wing span and 30 inch vertical. He drew a lot of attention from scouts at the Under Armour Next All-American Camp where he looked good in the agility drills.
Acheampong has not played football since his freshman year and will not play again this next season, opting to stay at Fairmont Prep which is a basketball school and does not have a football program.
He is raw as a pass rusher but has the physical tools that college scouts love and feel they can develop.

Mater Dei (Santa Ana) class of 2025 defensive back [player_tooltip player_id="282700" first="Daryus" last="Dixson"] picked up two Pac 12 offers last week from Oregon and USC.
Dixson is right up there at the top of the best 2025 defensive backs in Southern California list.
He is a physical corner in man coverage and is great at keeping outside contain while coming up the field to stop the run. He lines up all over the field and has a ton of upside.
Dixson is approaching double-digit offers and should be an every down corner for Mater Dei this season.

Santa Margarita class of 2024 pass rusher [player_tooltip player_id="147756" first="Levar" last="Talley"] is visiting Colorado this weekend for the spring football game.
Talley is 6-foot-3 and appears to be adding some size this offseason. I saw him at the Under Armour Next All-American camp last month and he looked good in the one-on-one period and was using his new found strength.
He has offers from a lot of the major schools including USC, Georgia and Louisville.

Centennial (Corona) class of 2023 quarterback [player_tooltip player_id="25365" first="Izzy" last="Carter"] announced his commitment to Arizona State Friday according to Greg Biggins of 247Sports.
“I like the offense a lot,” Carter told Biggins. “They see me as a quarterback who can beat a defense with my arm and legs and that’s what they’re looking for. I think I can throw from the pocket and break down a defense outside the pocket and in the run game."
Carter was up to double-digit offers and had a final list of Arizona State, BYU, Colorado and Oregon.
He is a dual threat quarterback but like he said in his statement, he is a better pocket passer than people think he is. He threw eight touchdowns with just one interception and ran for eight touchdowns as well. He is very mechanically sound and the ball looks great coming out of his hands.
