Butler has developed into a solid lineman. He does a great job of dominating smaller defenders. He does a good job of turning defenders away from the play. He also plays mean and likes to finish off his blocks. He is an intelligent lineman and is able to read defensive stunts and blitzes well. This makes him a real asset in pass protection. He needs to develop his quickness and technique but he has the potential to be a very good lineman.

Butler is a top-run blocking tackle. He is another product of the lineman factory that is Damascus. He is quick to fire off the ball. he does a good job of getting inside position and using it to drive defenders back into the second level. He has a high motor and blocks to the whistle. Butler is yet another Damascus lineman that will have a college career.
