Nabbing four interceptions in his senior season you have to wonder why are teams even throwing in his direction at this point? Reid has been as advertised and is an explosive kick returner too, the Warhawks would be wise not to kick it to him he has 3 returns for scores on the year.  I would expect Coach Overton to have him lined up on Cord Yates Cord Yates 5'9" | 160 lbs | WR Madison | 2024 State VA all day and that will be fun to watch those two battle.

The Wake Forest commit Elijah Reid Elijah Reid 5'9" | 165 lbs | ATH Freedom | 2024 VA and the Freedom Eagles needed every bit of his 5 receptions and 2 touchdowns to hold off state power Varina last week. While he had two awesome touchdown receptions, his work on defense saved the game as he picked off two passes including one right at goal line to preserve the Eagles lead. Reid is another difference maker and has been doing that for the past few seasons for the reigning state champions. It was good to see him come to play as Varina made a late charge and the senior was one of many who stepped up to stop their comeback.

Elijah Reid Elijah Reid 5'9" | 165 lbs | ATH Freedom | 2024 VA : I always say I just want to contribute on the next level whether it is at corner or receiver. A college’s scheme may also help me determine that.

CF:  How early in the season did you know that you a part of a state title team? ER:  I feel like I knew we were going to be a state title team. Very early on, after we had our team trip, I felt everyone become closer, we became a family and people on the team started to take leadership roles. Everyone knew they had someone depending on them to do their job and we could not let each other down.

CF: Do you have a top 5, I see you have interest in seems from schools all over the country?ER:  I do not have a set top 5 right now, that should be changing soon.

 CF: We know about Tristan Evans Tristan Evans 5'11" | 180 lbs | QB Freedom | 2024 VA and your fellow wideout Kameron Courtney, who are some other guys from Freedom we should be discussing? ER: Another 2024 guy you guys should discuss should be Aaron Duncan Aaron Duncan 6'2" | 185 lbs | WR Freedom | 2024 VA . CF: Give us a fun fact that our audience may not know about Elijah EJ Reid?ER: One fun fact would be that I am good on the hardwood as well.

Reid excels at both receiver and cornerback for the Freedom Eagles, I think he will make his money on defense at the next level but that remains to be seen. Reid is another dude for Freedom that may not have ideal size (5’9) he again proves it doesn’t matter. Watching him at corner the way he breaks to the football is a pure treat and he looks ready to play Division 1 football now. Thus far he has received an offer from Howard University which would be right in his backyard, give it time though more interest is coming.
