Class of 2025: Defensive backs and linebackers

<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="272705" first="Armoni" last="Weaver"]</strong>, Byrnes, DB 6’0”, 165 Weaver has impressive ball skills and does a great job of reading the quarterback. Obviously he’s young but he does not shy away from covering the opponents best receiver. He does well in man coverage as well as zone. Weaver keeps his eyes in the backfield and reads quarterbacks well. The Bulldogs finished as Class 2A runner-up. Mozone finished with 16 tackles with two interceptions, three passes defended and one fumble recovery. His knack for being around the football is his strength. He is good in coverage and does not mind stepping up in run support. He returned one of his interceptions for a touchdown. He plays an outside linebacker spot and has a knack for finding the football. He will continue to get bigger and might end up better suited as a rush defensive end but right now he creates havoc from his outside linebacker spot. He totaled 45 tackles in 11 games. As he gets bigger, he will likely move to an inside linebacker spot. Hawkins does not shy away from contact and gets to the ball-carrier quickly.
