When your offense line can control the trenches, that allows for the entire playbook to be effective. Today, we look at the players on the Class of 2025 watch list who thrive in these areas. The three on today’s rundown can give defenses fits for years to come.
Alex Brennan Alex Brennan 6'0" | 175 lbs | TE East Noble | 2025 State IN , 6’0, 175 pounds, East Noble, Tight End
Even in his freshman season with the East Noble Knights, Alex Brennan Alex Brennan 6'0" | 175 lbs | TE East Noble | 2025 State IN found multiple ways to help his team. Not only does Brennan show an immense amount of potential at tight end, but he also has the ability to play both middle and outside linebacker. Brennan played in just one game this season for the varsity team, but he made a big impact when he did. Brennan had two catches in that game for 55 yards and a touchdown. Defensively, Brennan came up with an interception. In that same game, he also contributed on special teams, punting once for 42 yards. Brayden Sipes Brayden Sipes OL Zionsville | 2025 State IN , Zionsville, Offensive Lineman
In three varsity appearances this past season, Brayden Sipes Brayden Sipes OL Zionsville | 2025 State IN made an impact both offensively and defensively. Sipes does well in the interior of the offensive line at guard. He gained valuable experience playing on a Zionsville varsity team that made a run to the Class 5A State Championship game. Defensively, Sipes recorded 3 total tackles with one tackle-for-loss. He also recovered one fumble. Zionsville will be counting on Brayden Sipes Brayden Sipes OL Zionsville | 2025 State IN to continue to make an impact next year. But, if this past season is any indication, Sipes is ready to be a force.

John Ranes John Ranes 6'3" | 245 lbs | OL New Palestine | 2025 State IN has already proven himself to be difficult for opponents to deal with in the trenches, no matter which side of the line-of-scrimmage he lines up on. Ranes is terrific on both the offensive and defensive lines. He has good strength and power. Ranes is tough to move, something that helps on both sides of the ball. It is tough to beat him with a bull rush when he is protecting the quarterback, and it is tough to run his way when he is playing defensive end. When he is at defensive end, Ranes is a great run defender. He takes up space, and he shows great pursuit to make the play. In nine varsity appearances this past fall, Ranes had 43 total tackles, with 17 of those tackles being solo. He came up with six tackles-for-loss and one-and-a-half sacks. Ranes had one quarterback hurry as well as one fumble recovery. Ranes also defended against three passes.
