Gil was heavily talked about when determining the MVP for the quarterbacks. He took a leadership role in the drills and the other quarterbacks clearly respected him. He excels on the intermediate level throws and can put zip on those balls. Gil didn’t test as well as I expected but he still showed athleticism with his footwork. He has gotten two lower-level offers since the event and he would be an excellent lower level college quarterback.

Gil competed at last year’s Prep Redzone Stock Up Showcase and was one of the top quarterbacks at the event. His arm strength stands out on intermediate level throws and he developed a good rapport with the receivers at the event.
He had a strong senior year averaging 177 yards per game with 24 touchdowns and just three interceptions. He was named MVP of the Freeway League.

La Habra got a huge win over Troy last week which puts them in a strong position to win the Freeway League championship.
The Highlanders had a well-balanced offensive attack and Gil delivered in the passing game.
Gil completed 19 of 26 passes for 352 yards and six touchdowns in the win.
The 352 yards and the six touchdowns are both career-highs for Gil.
