2021 GACA All-Star Game: Sophomore Standouts

Every year, the Georgia Athletic Coaches Association puts together senior, junior, and sophomore teams that consist of some of the best players in the state of Georgia. Those teams are split into North and South teams, and then will compete. Here, we take a look at some of the most impressive players from the sophomore game. <strong>Gavin Hall</strong> | QB | North Team | Hebron Christian Of all the prospects at any position, Hall was the most exciting to watch for me today. He has a super strong arm, which he uses to put the ball in some tight windows. What is more impressive is what he can do on the ground. Early in the game, he broke off a 65 yard TD run to open up scoring. As the game rolled on, you kept seeing him make crazy plays with his legs to extend plays and move the chains. Hall is a human highlight reel, and it will certainly be fun to watch him develop. <strong>KJ Boldin</strong> | WR | North Team | Buford Boldin is currently ranked as our top player in the state of Georgia for the 2024 class. After seeing him in person, it is clear that he lives up to that ranking. Boldin is super quick and immediately gets upfield after he gets the ball. He will fight for extra yards, but will also make you miss. He is a great route runner which allows him to separate from defensive backs, and his large catch radius makes him a mismatch nightmare. <strong>Ameir Glenn </strong>| DT | North Team | John Milledge Immediately, Glenn catches your eye thanks to his size. He is a physically dominating force in the middle of the defense. Even when he is not actually making the play, just his prescience in the gaps upfront makes him a pain to play against. He collapses the pocket from the inside and plays with high effort, which resulted in a sack for him earlier in the game. <strong>Daylan Kendrick</strong> | LB | South Team | Northside Kendrick was flying all over the field, and you heard his name called a lot. He plays at LB, but he is quick enough and has nice enough coverage skills to line up all over the field on defense. He is a very aggressive player who likes to come downfield and lay some heavy hits. He uses his long arms to grab ahold of defenders and take him down. His versatility was on full display. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="137449" first="Omar" last="White"]</strong> | DT | South Team | Lee County The way White performed will not show up on stat sheets, but I can assure you that he flexed his muscles. White is unbelievably big for a player of his age, and he is able to physically impose his will in the middle of a defense. Like so many players we have mentioned, his prescience alone is enough to keep him on the field, Him making plays is just the cherry on top. <strong>Jayden Scott</strong> | RB | South Team | Stockbridge The South team did not have much going for them at all offensively, but Scott was one of the few bright spots. Scott ran downhill and kept the pile moving, every yard he got was one he fought for. He also broke off a big run in the second half which was the longest offensive play of the game for the south team. He also scored the only TD of the night for his squad. He helped soften up the middle of a stout north defense. &nbsp;
