doesn’t have a mid-season tape out on Hudl. Such tape would help remind guys like me how special an interior defender he is. Battles wrapped up his recruiting journey when he announced his commitment to the Terps back in February, yet he’s still competing to earn the respect of his coaches and peers alike. Battles had a good performance with me present on the ACC sideline about a month back. It’s tough to watch trench play from the field, yet I could recall at least four-five instances where Battles would make his matchup reach and miss, leading to a Battles TFL or run-stuff. Impressed with Battles play on OL. Despite Battles weighing near 315-320 pounds, he still can pull aligned at left tackle. Battles can still get out in front of screens, Battles can still pursue the ball carrier when aligned at DT. Battles will flash game-breaking ability once-twice per drive. Maryland is looking to unlock the ACC senior’s full potential.

is one of the best players in the 2025 class. He is a legit defensive force at defensive tackle. Here is what I wrote about him earlier this year:

is a talented lineman who plays on the offensive and the defensive line for Allentown Central Catholic. The two biggest parts of his game that are impressive are his athleticism and his strength. He shows both of them off consistently on both sides of the ball. At the offensive line, he has the ability to move by pulling and blocking out front on run plays or on wide receiver screens. On defense, he shows his strength by pushing the offensive lineman back into the backfield. Battles recently picked up an offer from the University of Maryland, I expect more College Football offers to be coming his way”.

is a force to be reckoned with! The Allentown Central Catholic prospect has been making plays for years for the Vikings! Braheem has a solid build at 6’3 | 325. He has a lot of power behind his punch, and his strength is unmatched at the HS level! Battles decided to keep his recruitment short and sweet! Let’s check it out!
Battles was first offered by Maryland University on 1/22. Temple then pulled the trigger on him the same day! He then visited Temple University on 2/8. From there he committed to The Terps! Braheem has now visited Maryland and by the looks of it loves what they have to offer! I’m excited to watch Braheem dominate O-Lineman in his senior campaign!

, one of the more massive IDL prospects the state has to offer, one who has flirted with the top 50, as well as the top five spot at his position. He sits at 13, yet he’s in the discussion as one of the class’s better interior presences, if we take EDGE defenders out of the discussion. I’d bet this is his ranking floor with ceiling being top five as stated above. Worth noting that he’s guard capable at this level, I wouldn’t be surprised to hear from college coaches that they like him at IOL as well. He brings the OL mentality with him to the defensive side of the ball. What’s special about Battles is, you can expect him to do something extraordinary every Friday night. PBUs, FFs, even INTs. Again, this kid is pushing nearly 330+ pounds. If there’s an athletic 330-pound defender to be found, it would be this kid.

One of the better defensive tackles across the state, Battles is a key piece of ACC’s defensive line and their success defensively. As a sophomore, he collecetd 85 tackles, six tackles for a loss, four sacks, two interceptions, and one pass breakup. While he doesn’t have the greatest straight line speed, Battles is quite athletic considering his 300-pound frame. Shows the ability to be strong in the pass rush and against the run, great knack for getting his hands up as well to knock balls down at the line of scrimmage.
