Continue ReadingWR/DB’s can be some of the hardest evaluations at the high school level. Many high school teams run the ball at a high rate, and QB’s at the high school level can be wildly inconsistent. So when you find WR’s making big plays, high pointing the ball and scoring TD’s you take notice. These senior WR’s are filled with tons of great traits that will suit them well at the next level.
Colin Jordison – Blooming Prairie High School (6’1″ 185lbs)
Jordison isn’t a flashy WR. He doesn’t have breakaway speed or incredible size. However, what Jordison does possess is an incredible set of hands and a natural ability to find the football and go get it. Jordison does a great job of high pointing the football and fighting off DB’s in traffic to make the catch. He’s a tough and willing blocker in the open field and isn’t afraid of contact. He also plays LB and also handles punting duties. The more I watch Jordison the more he feels like a guy that would fit on any roster at the next level.

State
MN
– Duluth East High School (6’1″ 195lbs)
Wiecks is an advanced route runner for a high schooler, he shows great deception in and out of his routes. He has great hands and shows good run after catch ability. Wiecks has good hands, but has a tendency to body catch some throws. Wiecks utilizes his short area quickness to separate from defenders and give his QB an easy target. He is also a solid CB who can mirror routes and has good ball skills defensively.
Joel Bowman – Hillcrest Lutheran Academy (6’0″ 170lbs)
Playing at the 9-man level is usually why prospects such as Bowman fly under the radar. Bowman shows great run after the catch ability and is tough to catch in the open field. His speed makes him tough to cover for DB’s. Bowman’s coaches do a phenomenal job of aligning him in different spots and creating mismatches with him in the slot and out wide. Bowman is fun to watch on bubble screens where he secures the ball and gets north and south in a hurry.
Jack Behning Jack Behning 6'4" | 180 lbs | WR Lester Prairie | 2022 State MN – Lester Prairie High School (6’4″ 180lbs)
Behning is your prototypical big body WR. He has the height and length to create mismatches against smaller DB’s and the short area quickness to run by bigger and slower DB’s. Behning has a large catch radius, which provides a solid safety net for his QB’s to throw at. Fade balls to the back corner of the end zone are Behning’s specialty as he has great body control and hands that allow him to be a TD machine.
