OABCIG seemed poised to stroll into Spirit Lake and shut them down for their 3rd straight victory over the Indians, and in the first half, everything was going their way as they commanded the field, building a 20-0 lead through the first 24 minutes. However, Spirit Lake came to life in the second half, thanks in part to a strong run game which rumbled for 236 total rushing yards, Spirit Lake scored 28 unanswered to take the lead late in the 4th quarter. However, the Falcons pulled through in the end when it mattered the most, hitting a 29 yard TD pass with just 13 seconds remaining before running in the game-winning 2PT conversion to secure the road victory to spoil Spirit Lake's homecoming.

Okoboji went into Friday's matchup expecting an easy victory over the winless Midgets, but ELC gave the Pioneers all they could handle. They were able to stay toe-to-toe for a significant portion of the game before finally taking a 29-28 lead early in the 4th quarter. Despite committing 2 turnovers, the Pioneers proved to be the much more well-rounded offense with their run game, and it was a rushing TD on 3rd and 11 with 3 and a half minutes remaining that gave them the lead, and ELC's final drive ended with a sack on 4th down, securing the win for Okoboji as they move up now to 4-1.

Unfortunately, Anamosa was able to control the clock thanks to a well-oiled offense, which finished with a combined 355 yards of total offense while forcing 2 critical turnovers that came back to bite Tipton. The Tigers were able to cut the deficit to a one-possession score late, but were not able to get the ball back, allowing Anamosa to seal the win and move up above .500.
