Hey Florida Football Prospects: Colleges Are Watching

All the work that you put in during the off season is starting to pay off in a big way, high school football players.   The extra running, practice, weightlifting and the sacrifices made by attending camps, combines and those exposure events in the hot summer and colder winter days are coming back in a major way.   As we head toward Week 6 here in Florida, those college coaches that you sent film and letters to are remembering you during the season – as you score touchdowns, make big tackles and kick game-winning field goals.   This is the time of year when college coaches take the time out read about you and watch your film during the season – when it all counts and what you accomplish happens in a bright spotlight for all to see.   Our most popular things that we publish this time of year at Prep Redzone Florida are the TOP PERFORMANCES on Monday and Tuesday.   It is this paragraph on each student/athlete that brings attention to schools and players, and you can guarantee that college coaches take the time to read what you did this past week on the football field.   As we brought you a number of key players on Monday, we have the opportunity to add to those prospects with more head-turning performances today.   As college coaches will be reading these accomplishments, so will fans who follow and help promote their favorite players:   2027 – Donteis Austin, WR/KR/PR, Tampa Jefferson. What a week this two-sport (track & field) had for the Dragons with 6 catches for 205 yards and 2 touchdowns!   2027 – [player_tooltip player_id='2252179' first='Kevin' last='Bell'], DE, Port Orange Spruce Creek. Looking for someone who gets it done on the football field and in the classroom? Here he is. His grades - 4.39 GPA. 1420 SAT (780 Math). On the field this season, - 25 Tackles (13 Solo),  6 Sacks, 6 tackles for loss, 4 QB Pressures, 2 Pass Deflections and 1 Forced Fumble.   2027 – Josiah Bryant, LB, Jacksonville Ed White. After losing a tough contest to Duval rival Jacksonville Raines, a trip to play a competitive Camden County, Georgia was something that got this quality talent fired up as had 14 tackles and made several key plays. The 6'3, 200-pounder is being looked at by colleges for his play on the football field and work in the classroom (3.7 GPA).   2027 – [player_tooltip player_id='2122459' first='Bryan' last='Bynes'], WR/S, Coconut Creek Monarch. This 6'0, 170-pound student/athlete is a three-sport (baseball and track & field) athlete who gets it done in the classroom (4.0 GPA) and on the football field like he did this past week with 8 receptions 161 yards and 2 touchdowns.   2028 – [player_tooltip player_id='2199370' first='Zaylan' last='Chapple'], RB/Athlete, Merritt Island. What a tremendous season it has been for the Mustangs and this talented junior who has 48 carries for 530 yards (11.0 yards per carry), 6 touchdowns and 12 catches for 192 yards, 2 touchdowns - 722 yards from scrimmage. He is also an Honor's Student – 4.14 GPA.   2028 – [player_tooltip player_id='2140963' first='Jaden' last='Cortes'], Athlete, Orlando Innovation. One of the big surprise teams in Florida has some quality talent, and this outstanding junior had a solid week with three interceptions – two for touchdowns, 4 tackles and 1 huge tackle for loss. The 6'0, 180-pounder also makes a splash in the classroom with a 3.8 grade point average.   2027 – [player_tooltip player_id='1681646' first='Julius' last='Denson'] III, WR/Athlete, Zephyrhills. The 6'1, 175-pound standout was targeted 8 times, had 8 catches for 123 yards and 1 touchdown in a huge win. This track & field (10.86 100M, 22.17 200 M) standout also turns heads in the classroom (3.4 GPA).   2027 – Cloudy Dorjuste, LB/RB, Fort Myers Dunbar. In helping his team get back on the winning track, this impressive talent had 15 tackles, 3 tackles for loss and a game-sealing quarterback sack.   2029 – Demario Dixon, RB, Cooper City. One of the top sophomore runners in the state has been huge for the unbeaten (5-0) Cowboys this season – with 76 carries for 559 yards (7.4 Average), 6 rushing touchdowns, 13 receptions for 293 yards (22.5 average), 4 touchdowns for a total of 852 yards and 10 touchdowns. The 5'10, 190-pounder also gets it done in the classroom with a 3.5 GPA.   2029 – Tyson Dixon, OL/DL, Tampa Carrollwood Day. In leading one of the top 1A schools on both sides of the ball, here is a top-flight prospect that is already starting to receive college attention. This program, through five unbeaten games, is the top offense in the state. The 6'0, 335-pounder is also getting it done in the classroom (3.0 GPA).   2027 – Aidan Doanes, DB, Jacksonville Sandalwood. This versatile talent has made an impact in the first half of the season – especially on defense with 24 tackles - 14 solo tackles, 3 tackles for loss, 2 QB Hurries. His work in the classroom (3.4 GPA) is also something to recognize.   2029 – Gabriel Ellis, DL, Miami Gulliver Prep. Yet another underclassmen that is making waves in south Florida as he had 2 tackles for loss, 8 total tackles, 1 QB hit, 3 QB hurries and a sack against one of the top teams in Miami-Dade County.   2027 – [player_tooltip player_id='2228684' first='Matthew' last='Goncalves'], LB, Orlando Innovation. In just three quarters, this impressive talent had 12 tackles, 4 tackles for loss and 1 QB Hurry against Orlando Freedom to help his team to an unbeaten start. His 4.8 GPA in the classroom is also opening doors wide!   2028 – Mace Grant, QB, Panama City Bay. This 5'10, 160-pounder has had a tremendous first half of the season – with 927 passing yards, 269 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns. Is another solid student in the classroom with a 3.0 GPA.   2027 - [player_tooltip player_id='2232414' first='Colton' last='“Colt45” Hatfield'], WR/S/KR, Oviedo Hagerty. This student/athlete not only holds down a 3.8 grade point average in the classroom, but through the first half of the season he has done it all on both sides of the ball. Putting up numbers like 17 Receptions for 165 Yards and 2 Touchdowns as well as 2 pass breakups, 9 Solo Tackles, 4 Assisted Tackles and 1 Fumble Recovery for the Huskies.   2027 – [player_tooltip player_id='1681682' first='Wesli' last='Haywood'], SS/OLB, [player_tooltip player_id='2122848' first='Lake' last='City Columbia']. In helping to lead his team to a perfect 5-0 start, this impressive talent has put up some first half numbers like 30 total tackles, 2 Interceptions, 2 Sacks, 8 tackles for loss, 2 Forced fumbles and 1 Pick 6.   2028 – Jude Hewitt, QB, Tampa Jefferson. What a great week this student/athlete had for the Dragons with a 19 of 27 night for 361 yards and 4 touchdowns. The 6'1, 175-pounder had no interceptions. As solid as he is on the football field, his 4.25 GPA is also opening doors.   2028 - Jayeon “Rashad” Jackson, LB, Clearwater. There is something about getting pumped up to play your rival, and this impressive talent did just that as he helped to keep the Tornadoes unbeaten with a win over Largo that included 15 Tackles 3 tackles for loss and 1 pass break up. Did we mention the 6'2, 230-pounder also boasts a 4.1 GPA?   2027 - [player_tooltip player_id='2256247' first='Yuto' last='Kawamura-Johnson'], WR, Winter Garden West Orange. This University of Toledo commitment has been huge for the unbeaten Warriors this season as he showed this past week with 4 catches for 179 yards and three touchdowns. The 5'11, 195-pounder is the real deal.   2027 - [player_tooltip player_id='2168121' first='Jakob' last='Langfermann'], DE, St. Petersburg Northside Christian. The impressive 6'4, 223-pounder had a solid three games with 25 tackles, 7 tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks. He continues to attract college attention off the playing field with a 4.2 grade point average.   2028 - Elijah LeGrande, RB/DE, Tampa Cambridge Christian. Yet another student/athlete that gets it done on the football field and in the classroom (3.94 GPA). This past week he carried 23 times for 220 yards and 2 touchdowns in a win.   2028 - [player_tooltip player_id='2228607' first='Deagan' last='McCoy'], QB, Niceville. If you live in Florida's Panhandle, you already know about this quality young man who has put together quite a season so far – with 806 passing yards, 294 rushing yards, 11 passing touchdowns, 4 rushing touchdowns and a 63% completion rate. In addition, the 6'4, 195-pounder has also maintained a 4.24 GPA in the classroom.   2027 – [player_tooltip player_id='2122866' first='Carlos' last='Nedd'], LB, Jacksonville Mandarin. Even in a loss to the defending state champion Jacksonville Raines Vikings, this talented 6'0, 216-pounder finished with 11 tackles, 1 forced fumble, 2 tackled for loss and 2 QB pressures. He also holds down a 3.4 grade point average in the classroom.   2029 – [player_tooltip player_id='2045031' first='Deangelo' last='Plese'], QB, Davie Nova. Even in a heart-breaking loss, this quality talent had a tremendous week – with 269 yards and 4 touchdown passes for the Titans. His stock continues to rise as a student/athlete that also gets it done in the classroom (4.5 GPA).   2027 - Jasiah Powell, RB, [player_tooltip player_id='2130540' first='Alachua' last='Santa Fe']. There is a reason why this team has stepped up and this quality talent has stepped up in a major way with 306 Rushing Yards 3 touchdowns this past week. In four games, he has 697 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns.   2027 – L.T. Rice, Athlete, Ocala Trinity Catholic. Talk about a great first half. This 6'5, 215-pound standout has 42 total tackles (29 solo, 13 assisted), 7 sacks, 14 TFL, 3 caused fumbles and 2 fumble recovery.   2028 – [player_tooltip player_id='1163949' first='Lane' last='Rogers'], LB, Panama City Bay. What a productive five weeks it has been for this quality talent – with 36 Tackles, 10 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks and 1 fumble recovery. The two-time state track qualifier also holds down a 3.8 grade point average.   2027 – Egan Segers, QB/WR, Bonifay Holmes County. This two-sport (baseball) standout had an outstanding Week 5 with 215 yards and 2 touchdowns.   2028 – [player_tooltip player_id='2324913' first='Colton' last='Smith'], WR/DB/KR, Miami Ransom Everglades. If you are looking for a way under-the-radar prospect, you don't have to look far. Here is a versatile student/athlete that had 212 total all-purpose yards that included 6 receptions for 138 yards, 1 touchdown (66-yard punt return) and 3 tackles on defense. Oh, by the way, he has a 3.9 GPA as well.    2027 – Janaro Sumpter, Athlete, RB/Athlete, West Palm Beach Cardinal Newman. This senior has enjoyed a great start to the season – with 503 yards (5.1 yards per carry) and 10 touchdowns for the Crusaders.   Titusville Terriers. It was a banner week for this impressive team who continues to turn the corner. 2027 QB – [player_tooltip player_id='2123260' first='Remy' last='Vigne'] (10 of 13 for 277 yards and 5 touchdowns), 2027 ATHLETE - Tank Harvey (2 catches for 115 yards and 2 touchdowns), 2028 WR - [player_tooltip player_id='2124094' first='Deion' last='Bland'] (3 catches for 92 yards and 2 touchdowns) and 2028 RB - Tamarion Walker ( 14 carries for 79 yards and 1 score).   2027 – Tory Thornton, DE/OLB, Fort Lauderdale Dillard. This 6'3, 200-pound standout not only has flown under the radar on the football field but has been impressive for the Panthers in the classroom where he holds down a 3.2 GPA. On the field, he has 9 sacks and over 30 tackles. He came up with 3 sacks alone against St. Thomas Aquinas and 2 sacks against St. Peters Prep of New Jersey.    2028 – Brody Wilson, Athlete, West Palm Beach Oxbridge. What an outstanding first half of the season it's been for this versatile junior that holds down a 4.1 GPA in the classroom. He has 20 touches, 382 yards, 6 touchdowns, and 10 tackles, 1 interception and 3 pass breakups.
