Deagan McCoy
About Deagan
Expert Analysis
Andrew Johnson | Prep Redzone Scout
McCoy is another name from North Florida that deserves to stay on the radar. What has always stood out to me is the natural feel he has for the position. He can make throws from different platforms and has enough athletic ability to create when the pocket breaks down. At this stage of his development, I’m looking more at how comfortable he is operating the offense and making decisions against different defensive looks. There is still plenty of room for him to develop physically and mechanically, which is exactly what you want to see from a 2028 quarterback. He has tools to work with, and continued varsity reps should only help his confidence and consistency.
