Bryan Bynes
About Bryan
Expert Analysis
Andrew Johnson | Prep Redzone Scout
Bynes has been one of the more dependable receivers in the 2027 class and is putting together a season that is becoming increasingly difficult to overlook. Through five games, Bynes has produced 700 receiving yards and eight touchdowns on 45 receptions, averaging 15.56 yards per catch and 140 receiving yards per game. Those numbers currently have him among the state’s receiving leaders, and he’s also Monarch’s team leader in receiving yards and total touchdowns.
The numbers are impressive, but Bynes isn’t simply a volume receiver. His route discipline, hands and ability to find space consistently make him a quarterback-friendly target. He does a good job playing under control, creating separation and putting himself in position to make the catch rather than relying solely on contested situations. He’s also shown enough speed to threaten defenses vertically while still having the body control to make plays underneath and in space.
That evaluation has been consistent outside of Friday-night production as well. He has stood out in both live game action and 7-on-7 competition, showing strong hands, speed, body control and route-running ability. We also previously highlighted Bynes through Drew’s Prospect Watch/7v7 Elite coverage as an underrated receiver who runs disciplined routes, catches the ball cleanly and does the little things that consistently move the chains.
At this point, the production has become a major part of the evaluation. The next question is how Bynes’ game translates when he sees more high-level defensive backs and more physical press coverage. But the foundation is there. He’s a receiver who consistently gets himself open, catches the football and gives his quarterback a reliable target, and that type of consistency tends to travel.

Bynes has been one of the more dependable receivers in this group. He has 547 yards and six touchdowns through four games, but the numbers aren’t the only thing that stands out. His route discipline, reliable hands and ability to find open space make him a quarterback-friendly target. He can get down the field when needed, but I really like how consistently he puts himself in position to make a play. That consistency should translate well as he moves toward the next level.

The shifty slot receiver has blazing speed and is electric with the football in his hands. Through five games, the senior has tallied 45 receptions, 700 receiving yards, and eight touchdowns.
His straight-line speed rivals any player in the area, and his ability to adjust to the football in the air makes him a valuable weapon on every snap. Bynes also knows how to find soft spots in zone coverage and keeps moving to find open lanes when his quarterback scrambles.
He is a hidden gem that colleges will continue to learn about as the season progresses.

Bynes is an above-average route-runner who is tough to bring to the ground. He finds ways to get open when plays go off script and uses his solid frame to shield off defenders for receptions.
The Monarch athlete catches the ball out of the backfield well, but can do a better job of disguising routes. Bynes performs well on short, intermediate, and deep routes, and his versatility could be highly valuable to a college program.
