Bishop Guertin throws Exeter for a loss

BG (2-0) scored on its first six possessions, and five of the six touchdowns came through the air. He completed 19-of-20 passes for 314 yards and five touchdowns without an interception in the win. That performance came one week after he completed 14-of-24 passes for 320 yards and three touchdowns during a victory over Nashua North. The college program that lands Bowen will get a bonus, since he's also a good place-kicker. He was held out of Bishop Guertin's two scrimmages and also didn't play in the season-opener against Nashua North. He returned to the field and made his presence felt against Exeter, however. Roy caught six passes for 118 yards and three touchdowns. His TD receptions came on plays of 25, 49 and 4 yards. Each of his three touchowns came in the first half. He scored twice in the second quarter after Exeter sliced BG's lead to 21-14. One of the state's top lacrosse players, Barrett hauled in a 41-yard TD pass from quarterback Tyler Ream (8 of 15 for 160 yards) that helped trim Bishop's Guertin's lead to 21-14 with 5:55 left in the first half. Curran carried the ball only four times, but he gained 59 yards against a defense that limited Manchester Memorial to 77 yards of offense in Week 1. Most of Curran's yardage came on a 48-yard touchdown run on the game's third play from scrimmage. His first TD catch helped the Cardinals take a 21-7 lead in the second quarter, and his 7-yard catch was the game's final touchdown in the fourth.
