From game-day performances to recruiting news, here are some things we learned after the PIAA Quarterfinals.

<strong>Bishop McDevitt QB [player_tooltip player_id="154352" first="Stone" last="Saunders"]</strong>
Saunders played a Lampeter-Strasburg defense who only gave up 9.6 points per game entering this game. Bishop McDevitt won 7-0, but this was Saunders’ worst game of the season. He went 4-for-15 41 yards with no touchdowns and 1 interception. As we get deeper into the playoffs these games get tougher, especially for a young inexperienced quarterback like Saunders, who will be entering his 4th playoff career start next week. Saunders and Co. will be playing Bishop Shanahan in the 4A PIAA Semi-finals. Bishop Shanahan only allows 11.7 points per game. Love this kid and what he has done this season, but if he wants to take his team to the finals in Hershey and even win, he has to play better and protect the ball.
<strong>Bishop Canevin [player_tooltip player_id="160303" first="Xavier" last="Nelson"]</strong>
It was tied 7-7, in the second quarter against Our Lady of Sacred Heart. Then Nelson went on a scoring rampage, adding 3 more touchdowns in the second quarter, which led to a blowout win 42-7. Nelson had 2 receptions for 102 yards and 2 touchdowns, including a 67-yard catch and run. He also recorded 2 interceptions, including a 46-yard pick-six. Below are highlights of the game.

Robinson, who is currently our 2nd ranked overall player and 1st ranked linebacker in the 2023 class announced his top 10 schools on Thanksgiving. Robinson, unfortunately, tore his ACL in the final regular-season game. His recovery is crucial this off-season. It’ll be interesting to see how he performs senior year.
