He snaps off the ball, can create immediate pressure off the edge and plays with violent hands when turning the corner and is a natural bender with primary and secondary moves in his toolbox. He shows he can lock out and sit on the edge, take on drives and double teams and eats up blocks while shutting down the whole half of the field. He is a very high motor kid that chases backside and is seemingly always around the ball with tremendous pass rush abilities from anywhere up front. The Senior rusher has been very under-recruited to this point and will be a very nice late steal here soon.

The Nampa product is a downhill thumper that can scrape through blockers, tackles well in the backfield and has closing speed inside while packing a punch at the point of attack. He is a very high IQ player that is always around the ball making plays and runs well sideline to sideline taking good angles and is fluid in transition. When rushing the passer he shows he can apply pressure off the edge or up the middle and has quick hands when turning the corner while able to change direction quickly and make plays behind the LOS. He should go over the 100+ tackle marker once again this Fall and is a key linebacker to note across the region and will enter our ranks in the next update here soon.

Franklin is one of the top rushers in the state and should be atop all lists by the end of his senior season. He plays with tremendous contact balance and can easily break tackles in the open field while showing leg drive through arm and ankle tacklers and can gain the tough yards inside while never going down on first contact. Franklin has a nice initial burst through the line, runs behind his pads and stays patient behind his blocks with good vision and cutback abilities against defensive flow. He is a well rounded ball carrier that has a nice balance of twitch and downhill mentality that should fit nicely at the D3/NAIA level in college and is going to be a quality late steal.

Mowder is a hard hitting inside linebacker that plays bigger then he is and is always around the ball making tackles behind the LOS. He is a very high IQ kid that sniffs out plays quickly and plays downhill, shocking and shedding his way to ball carries and moves well laterally sideline to sideline while also showing he can redirect and track down ball carriers backside. In coverage, he plays with fluid hips and man cover abilities downfield with solid ball skills but tackles well in space, closes quickly and takes the proper angles to ball carriers in the open field. He should be well over the 90+ tackle marker this season and is one of the top '28 linebacker prospects we have and could see a uptick in his state ranking in the next update.
