Tough and physical runner who has good patience to follow blocks, but knows when it's time to turn it up a notch. Runs through contact effectively. Not very elusive, but earns his stripes between the tackles and is very effective in short yardage. Grant Langferman is a strong outside linebacker who aligns in a two-point stance, he is a good lateral mover who takes good angles to the ball. Langferman is a great wrap-up tackler, making tackles nicely in space. Quick read and reaction, very instinctive linebacker who flashes some twitch and a nose for the ball. Carter has adequate closing speed, can elude blockers and make plays behind the line of scrimmage. Strong run defender with a nose for the ball. He can be a real problem for opposing defenses. Tall, muscular, bulky running back who can catch out of the backfield, return kicks, break off tackles and runs with good open-field balance. Can turn it up a few gears if he finds an opening in space and displays good top-end juice, especially for his size.
