One of the biggest changes in this rankings cycle was the expansion of the 2027 rankings, creating opportunities for a new wave of prospects to earn their place on the board. Some of these players have steadily developed behind the scenes, while others caught our attention through updated film, camp performances, or strong junior seasons that warranted a closer look. Earning a spot in the rankings is never automatic, and each of these prospects did enough to separate themselves from a crowded field. Here are the newest additions to the 2027 Top 200 rankings.

2027 Wheeling Park EDGE [player_tooltip player_id='1880866' first='Jake' last='Franke'] earned his way into the rankings after making the most of his opportunities in a deep Patriots defensive front last season. Franke may not have the biggest frame among edge prospects, but he consistently found ways to impact the game with his ability to get into the backfield. He plays with a high motor, generates pressure on quarterbacks, and can help in the running came off the end. Even in a rotational role, his production and activity stood out on film. Franke enters his senior season as a player D3 programs should be keeping a close eye on, especially if his role continues to expand.

2027 Nicholas County ATH [player_tooltip player_id='1695979' first='Spencer' last='Keiper'] enters the rankings as a player with plenty of upside heading into his senior season. Keiper has spent the last couple of years making plays at receiver, where his athleticism has consistently shown up on film. This fall could bring an even larger role if he takes over at quarterback, giving the Grizzlies a dynamic athlete with the ball in his hands on every snap. His versatility makes him an intriguing prospect, and there is still room for his stock to rise depending on how his final season unfolds. Keiper has already flashed playmaking ability, and a strong senior campaign could elevate him well beyond his current ranking.

2027 Frankfort ATH [player_tooltip player_id='2071211' first='Brady' last='Twigg'] enters the rankings as a player who could be in line for a much larger role on a Frankfort team looking to defend its second straight state championship. We selected Twigg as the Falcons' preseason breakout player because of the opportunity in front of him and the flashes he showed last season. While some of his contributions were overshadowed by higher-profile teammates, he quietly put together a solid year, particularly in the secondary. With several key departures from the championship roster, expect him to be one of the players counted on to help keep Frankfort in the title hunt.

2027 Bluefield ATH [player_tooltip player_id='1866730' first='Tylee' last='Simon'] earned a spot in the rankings after serving as a valuable two-way contributor for the Beavers during their run to the state championship game. Simon may not have received the same attention as some of Bluefield's higher-profile players, but he consistently did his job and helped the team win in multiple ways. He provides steady play at both receiver and defensive back, bringing athleticism and playmaking to each side of the ball. Simon's versatility and experience should make him an important piece for the Beavers once again as a senior. If he takes on a larger role and builds on last year's success, he has the ability to attract legitimate D2 and D3 interest this fall.

2027 Winfield WR [player_tooltip player_id='1159224' first='Pierson' last='Worline'] is a quality small college prospect who quietly put together a strong junior season for the Generals. In an offense that leans heavily on the run, Worline made the most of his opportunities when Winfield went to the air and established himself as one of the team's most reliable targets. He shows good hands, runs clean routes, and does a nice job creating separation, giving his quarterback a dependable option. He may not be a widely known name across the state, but he's an under-the-radar receiver that D3 programs should have on their prospect board heading into the fall.

2027 University EDGE [player_tooltip player_id='1659122' first='Devon' last='Williams'] is the type of player who has earned everything that's come his way. While he may be undersized compared to some of the other edge prospects in the class, Williams has worked hard to overcome those limitations through technique, effort, and steady development. He carved out a role on a talented roster last season and was productive when reps came his way. With potentially more playing time available heading into his senior year, Williams has a chance to take another step forward and establish himself as a quality D3 prospect.

2027 Spring Valley ATH [player_tooltip player_id='1154726' first='Caiden' last='Lovejoy'] stepped into a difficult situation last season and handled it well. Originally expected to have more time before taking over under center, Lovejoy was thrust into the quarterback role after a preseason injury and made the most of the opportunity for the Timberwolves. Despite being undersized, he operated the Wing-T offense effectively and flashed enough playmaking ability to earn a spot in the rankings. His athleticism allows him to contribute in a variety of ways, and he has the versatility to fit at several skill positions beyond quarterback. With a full season of experience now under his belt, Lovejoy is a player who could take a noticeable step forward during his senior year.

2027 Wahama OL/DL [player_tooltip player_id='1615273' first='Ian' last='Fowler'] finally makes his debut in the rankings after posting updated film and giving us a chance to evaluate his progress. Fowler checks in as a Top 20 defensive lineman in the class and has been a productive two-way contributor for the White Falcons over multiple seasons. While he may be undersized compared to some prospects at the position, his film shows a player who consistently finds ways to make an impact and compete at a high level. His experience as a multi-year starter is evident in how he plays, and his versatility adds value on both sides of the ball. Fowler is the type of small-school lineman that D3 programs should be paying attention to as he enters his senior season.

2027 Hedgesville LB [player_tooltip player_id='1326529' first='Cameron' last='Webb'] closes out the preseason Top 200 after earning recognition as one of the top performers at our recent Exposure Series camp. Webb checks in as a Top 40 linebacker in the class and is a player worth monitoring heading into his senior season. While his frame may be on the smaller side for the position, the production and effort consistently stand out on film. Playing for a Hedgesville program that has struggled, Webb has still found ways to flash and make an impact despite the circumstances around him. He should draw attention from D3 programs with a good senior season for the Eagles.
