On Saturday, May 16 I was graciously invited back for (at least) the fourth year in a row by Coach Nick Pennisi, as he hosted his annual PSR Big Showcase. As usual, Pennisi's event has become the premier privately ran camp in the state. My reasoning and justification for this is simple: PSR Big Camps offers maximum exposure for prospects by offering staggered, sequential competition opportunities for aspiring athletes in front of the largest crowd of college coaches, Mega Camps withstanding.

Due to an unfortunately scheduling conflict because of a date change, I regrettably missed the vast majority of the quarterback, receiver, and defensive back session. As such, I only have limited notes on those position groups. However, I was present for the duration of the lineman and running back vs. linebacker segment of the event.

A prospect that I am curious to see where he ranks in New York is Mycul Glover. I thought that Glover showed some key indicators during indy of a strong player. First, Glover bend well. This affords him the opportunity to come to balance and not get his ankles broken. This was reinforced later on, as I thought he closed space well during cat and mouse drills.

I remember ranking [player_tooltip player_id='1921830' first='CJ' last='Senatore'] last time out and liking his film as a running back. After watching his performance at live at linebacker, I feel that my initial evaluation was vindicated. Senatore might be more of a "mouse" than a "cat," in the sense that when linebacking, he was more concerned about where to go or move next. This caused him to not cover a lot of ground, while he was a bit too high as well. That said, I think Senatore is a running back. He seems to be more natural being the hunted running back, rather than the hunting linebacker.

Zaire Benn is one of those prospects that, although his size does not necessarily measure up to the elite college standards, it plays extremely well at the high school level. Benn was stocky and low to the ground. As such, he moved with ease and got to his spots effectively.

A rising junior, Donovan Stokley looked new to the linebacker position. Stokley is blessed with an extremely athletic build, but moved slower and higher than I expected. This is what made me think he was new to the position. Given his physique, I suspect that a change to running back can be in his future.
